i changed my dress AGAIN lol

ok so i had the first one...the ivory halter top...couldn't get it altered as thought...traded it for the strapless one from davids...well, i think i really just settled...so today, i went to a "real" bridal shop...and freakin FELL IN LOVE:hearts::hearts:...we weren't even done zipping it up! it's absolutely perfect, and "covers" well, fits great, omg...i was a little worried with a strapless, being that FMIL is the preacher who is marrying us, and fh's family is a little modest...BUT omg, the saleslady and i, kept going through the racks over and over, and i couldn't find what i wanted: simple lines, little or same color detail, but a "moderate" train...afterall, we're more or less getting married in a field, next to a pond w/a restored early 1900's cabin ;) and i found it! i found it online, it's a casablanca gown from 2003! BUT, it's only $249, NO stains, and lord, fits like a perfect glove! i don't even need a bra, to "make sure" it will fit right! SO, i'm in a rush over on craigslist, to get rid of the other one lol...they're holding it till tomorrow...fh said i could just take the money out( i told him i needed to do the alterations on the dress i have)...he has NO idea i'm changing...but i'd rather try and sell this one first. the shop is giving me 3 days to put down at least half, and buy it in 30 days...BUT i get my paycheck from the ad agency i worked for come monday, so i am going to just buy it monday

thanks gwen...my gf thought something was wrong with me lol...but i explained that i really wasn't happy with either dress i'd already had, and it was because i'd set a budget for 350, but refused to go over 200 lol...

thanks! the only downside, is that b/c of the lines of the skirt, i have to wear a petticoat...grr....BUT i did go put half on it, so that when i get paid next week, i can pick it up! fh has no idea, and we took no pictures lol...it'll stay at the matrons house, in her mom's closet so that not even fh's bff/BM knows! i'm going to keep the on i have, till closer to then, so that fh has no idea lol...my MOh was like, ok where was THAT when we came in here 5 months ago?! the color is called "light ivory" versus "candlelight"...so it's more an eggshell color...which is good, cos i SO didn't wan't to have to change all our white stuff lol

i'm going to pick it up friday, with my matron...chris should be home wednesday, but he's set to leave again thursday late night, or early friday am...so he'll know i'm going shopping, but no idea why lol...i AM going to be picking up alex's 1st b-day stuff, so i won't be coming home empty handed ;)

argh, i'm so excited! once i take the cleaning and petticoat into account, i'll go a little over budget, but since((:crossfingers:)), we aren't paying for a venue, i haven't gone over the budget in a whole...i can't wait! my mom doesn't even know!

That is a beautiful dress! Congrats for finding that one special one that is irreplaceable. I think the idea that you found your hearts desire and your FH doesn't even have a clue is soooo great! Imagine his surprise when you are walking up your "aisle" (what do you call it outside a chapel?), and he is so excited to see you and then to discover you are more beautiful than he had seen you before, in a different dress? That is so great that you have others in on the surprise too.
