Just curious when you told or are planning to tell work that you're pregnant? I've looked all over the web and everything I find just says, "It's personal" or "Only you know when it's time..."
Well I want to at least hear that from the ladies I trust on OW!
So, when did you or will you tell your work you're PG and what are/were your reasons for the time frame you choose/chose.
Thanks!

I've always heard that people shouldn't tell until they are through the first trimester. I know my BFF didn't tell her employer until she absolutely had to - when she felt she was really and truly starting to show.
But it's personal and only you'll know when it's time. :winktongue:  LOL

despite the smarty-pantsness... i agree w/gwen but i think i'd wait until at least after the 1st trimester or until I started to show
i know some girls @ school told everyone around 12 weeks but one told right away b/c she was so tiny she showed at the end of her 2nd month LOL
This is what I did, took a hpt on a Thursday, had a dr. appt on Monday and had it confirmed. Went back to work that day and sung like a bird. I can't keep secrets.

If it was me, I'd prefer to wait until I got through the 1st trimester. But thats probably because I work with mostly guys and they could care less. LOL I mean, if I worked with some women, I'd probably have a hard time keeping a secret.
One of my biggest worries is morning sickness and if I do have it bad and end up missing work because of it (I have a really sensitive/queasy stomach to start with) I'll probably want to tell them so they know why I'm not there. I don't want them thinking I'm flaking out on my job. So when I get pregnant, I'll just have to see how it goes!

That is SO going to be me
I say as long as your job is secure, you should be able to tell your work any time you please.

Well I'm not pregnant yet, but I had to tell my boss that we were trying and going through fertility treatments because with all the doctors appointments I have, I didn't want her to think I was interviewing. So with that said I would probably tell her as soon as I got it confirmed and with everyone else I would wait till the end of the first trimester.

I was planning on waiting until after the 1st trimester, but my uncle works for the same guy I do and he let it slip last week to him when he mentioned to my uncle that I had called in sick a couple of days. I still haven't sat down with him and talked about it though. *shrugs*

Thanks, everyone! This helps me a lot!
I think as long as I can keep my MS under control, I'll wait to tell work until the 2nd trimester. Otherwise, if I need to be out sick or go to lots of doc appts, I'll tell my boss and then everyone else later.

I told co-workers right away, but waited until the 12 week mark to tell my boss. Basically covering my behind for the doctor appointments and such. I waited even longer to tell HR so I could get the FMLA paperwork started, but in the end it didn't matter because I got laid off.
