My fiance's mother is planning a surprise birthday party for her mom, she'll be 80 years old this year. I volunteered to deal with the flowers, since I am doing all sorts of DIY stuff for our wedding already. I've looked through all the threads in this section, and have a few ideas. But I needs some more ideas. I need to give my fiance's mom a ton of ideas so she can pick what she likes best. She has a bunch of flowers for me. All she tells me is that she doesn't want them simply put in a vase with a filler. So I need to find some creative way to use these flowers and make centerpieces and not just put them in a vase. Does anyone have any ideas that they haven't already posted here? (Since I've already gone through and seen what's already posted)

Anyone's help will be appreciated! Thanks! :kitty:

Do you know what types of flowers (colors, species, etc) she has for you? That might help us brainstorm better!

I don't know what they are, but I have pics.

The majority are white/pink like this:

But there are a few sprays that are more of a yellow/orange like this:

And then she bought these too:

Sorry I forgot to include pics before! Thanks again to anyone who comes up with ideas! :)

What about making a flower topiary? Something like this?

Unfortunately, I am stuck on the wreath theme--but maybe attaching the flowers onto a styrafoam, grapevine, or straw wreath. Then you could have a vase in the center with a floating candle in it for height?
