Gah! Stupid body!! Cooperate with me ******!!

I've got (or at least had) low B12, my doctor thinks it was from me being on the Pill, which I'm off now. So I've been getting monthly shots for that, and I HATE needles!

I get chronic headaches, and I've been put on a medication to prevent them. It's been all good and working for about a month and now I've had a headache for a week. I think I have a sinus infection, my sinuses, cheeks, temples, forehead and top of my head (and occasionally my ears) have been hurting combined with a runnier nose than normal.

I've got an appointment with a neurologist, but that's not til February since I'm not dying, so I'm closer to the bottom of the list. I need to make an appointment with my regular doctor to see if she thinks it's a sinus infection that I have now.

Last week I got my blood tested to check my B12 levels, to make sure the shots have been working. I passed out the first time I got my blood tested, so I freaked out for a week before I forced myself to go get it done this time (I didn't pass out and I'm proud of myself). Well, I get a call this morning saying that I need to get my blood tested again in 3 weeks! Eek! Remember me mentioning I hate needles? I hate blood tests even more!! The nurse said that my hemoglobin has been creeping up and they want to monitor it. That's really all the info I got.

Don't google your issues... you'll only scare yourself. Everyone knows that right?! Well, I did it anyways, now I want to know exactly what's wrong. At least if I make an appointment for my sinuses then I can ask her then.

Oh, I also get dizzy, get tunnel vision (sometimes to the point of not being able to see at all), can't hear anything except ringing, can barely stand, with a headache like my heads in a vice when I stand up. Sometimes it's really bad, sometimes I only get some of the symptoms, sometimes I'm perfectly fine. My doctor's not sure what's causing that...

But seriously, why can't my body be normal? Can't it like me for just once?!

Am I the only one with body issues that their doctors don't exactly know why it's happening? Anyone else hate blood tests like me?

Ok, first of all, here's a great big giant !!

I hate that - doesn't stuff like this make you feel like you're getting older and falling apart? I feel that way all the time. Like, when we were kids, it was all so easy to diagnose, and now, as adults, there's a myriad of doctors who may or may not be able to see us and diagnose our array of symptoms that may or may not all be working together.

Stupid body is right! But it's the only one we've got so we best do what we can to make it work for us. ;)

Oh, and, yeah, never google symptoms. All at once, it'll make me think I have osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel, a blod clot, early onset menopause, an ovarian cyst, strep throat, and some rare condition nobody's ever heard of.

When, in truth, all google has done is make me more of a hypochondriac than I already was.

Yeah, I'm a hypochondriac already. Does that make you more of a hypochondriac if you think you are one?

With all my problems it always mentions something about kidney disease or multiple sclerosis!! Eek!! No thank you! My aunt has MS (she's been wheel chair bound my whole life), so that's always been a big scary thing for me.

I forgot to add that my doctor knows what's happening when I stand up and get dizzy, it's my blood pressure dropping from my body not adjusting when I change positions. She's just not sure WHY that's happening.

And to add to the mix my blood pressure is on the higher end when I'm sitting (130/90), yet after I've been standing even after 5 minutes it's only 110/80. And that's not even when I have any symptoms (the tunnel vision, headache, dizziness). So it's high when I sit, drops when I stand, and obviously drops more the worse my symptoms are.

AND my heart rate is going all over the place so she's worried I have either an irregular heartbeat, or an arrhythmia (which is a known possible side effect from the headache medication).

My mom teases me that I have the body of an 80 year old. lol

Sorry you are feeling bad. Hope you and your Dr can find a way to make things better for you soon!

I know there is lots of stuff in my family that makes me worry I might get something. Then I have allergies and get headaches a lot too. Sometimes I will look up the symptoms and all to try to find ways to make it better, well it just doesn't help. So I usually just suffer through it untill it gets really bad. I hate going to the Dr and even more so that my regular Dr no longer works for Kaiser so I'd have to go to a new one.

All the best :flower:
