Those Charlie horses are the worst. The last one I got was on Christmas night and it didnt go away until about a week before I delivered Katie. Dont worry, your almost there and as soon as you have your little one you will not have to suffer anymore annoying Charlie horses or rude awakenings from muscle cramps.

Man, I have been nesting like crazy these past couple of days. Got up early this morning and went out and planted all of the flowers that we bought yesterday. I still need to finish our herb garden, but I need to buy some more landscaping stones before I can do that. Came inside, took a shower and a 20 minute nap, then went to cleaning the house. Everything just feels soooo dirty in here! I feel like I can't get it clean enough. On top of that I had the urge to bake, so I made myself a red velvet cake from scratch (yeah, like I needed it! lol). I really hope I have as much energy tomorrow as I did today!

I'm pretty sure my braxton hicks have turned into contractions. They don't really hurt, just are more uncomfortable and feel a lot stronger. I've been getting a good 4-5 a day, but nothing regular. I'm really curious to see if there has been any progression at my appt. this week!

Your not alone! I have 7 days and am freaking out! I cry at night as I feel overwhelmed, not just about the birth but everything else that goes along with it!

I wish we had a better room in our house (not the den that Jack will be sharing) for a nursery, it literally has a crib in it and a huge desk, and a book shelf...not what I envisioned for my first baby. I know its only temporarily that he will be in here until he gets his big boy bed (which is our spare bedroom..but still, I just thought I would have had this better planned out with the den moved to our basement. But then again, he is only sleeping in it and won't know the difference like I do.

right now my biggest fear is my water breaking at work or in the middle of the night and trying to wake my DH up!

We got our last big item for baby yesterday... our pack n' play/bassinet! Now I just have to figure out where in the world we are going to put it in our bedroom... we are already tight on space. I think we are ready for baby as far as stuff goes.

Tomorrow is my 36 week check-up and my last ultrasound. I'm really excited to see baby, it's crazy that it will be the last time we will see him/her before the big day! I'm also getting checked for dialation, so I'm really hoping there has been at least some progression. With all of these contractions I have been having, plus the pressure I've been feeling and all the walking I'm doing, darnit... there had BETTER be some progress! lol

I'm also soooo looking forward to Friday being my last day of work. My back was hurting so bad when I got home last night I could hardly stand to stay out of bed long enough to eat dinner. Plus the kids there are driving me INSANE!

We got to see half the face and a little fist up by the mouth though, he/she has adorable little chubby cheeks! They are estimating the weight to be 6lbs 6 oz right now. I'm really surprised because I'm not very big!

The really big news? They are inducing me on monday!! My fluid is lower than the doctor wants and he doesn't want to wait for it to get any worse. I'm so freaking anxious/excited/scared! It was a huge surprise and needless to say, when I started making phone calls I got a lot of "is this a joke?", lol.

I'm currently 1-2cm dialated, though he didn't say how effaced. He ended up stripping my membranes while I was in there (ouch!!). Soooo... holy ****, we are having a baby on monday!!

That was the first thing everyone asked me, they thought I was kidding. It's so freaking crazy! My mom is leaving tomorrow and will be here Sat-Wed and I am so excited she is going to be here for when the baby is born. My dad is trying to make it down Sun/Mon to be here as well. As scary as it is, I'm so happy my family will all be here for it.

Ugh... I love my husband, but he is driving me up the freaking wall today.

He has had family down for the last two days, so pretty much all of our free time has been spent with him. They were leaving this morning around 10-11am, so he got up early and went over to his parents to say goodbye. Now, we had planned on doing all kinds of last minute running around today (mostly grocery shopping and finishing yard work) so we could rest up tomorrow, plus my family is coming in today so of course we are supposed to be spending time with them. Today was supposed to be the last of our "just us" time.

Of course, as this is nothing short of normal, he doesn't come home until after 2pm. I've been up and waiting for him to get home so we can go to the store. Not only does he not show up until way later than I expected him to be home, but he brings his freaking brother home with him! My BIL is a good guy, but my husband ignores my existance when he is around his brother. And here he thinks he is going to take him grocery shopping with us. Ummm... okay, so not only are you now not planning on getting any yard work today done, but you want to spend our alone time now hanging out with your brother. He was actually going to leave me home alone to go shopping with him!

And he doesn't understand why I'm upset? Of course when I get pissed off about something, he has to get pissed off at me in return. He did end up sending his brother home, but is now out mowing the lawn and not speaking to me. :censored: I'm seriously considering just heading out to my grandparents to see my mom when she gets here and leaving him home by himself. This is soooo freaking stupid!! And now I'm the bad guy in all of this because I wanted to spend some time with him.

Started pitocin about an hour ago. Just had the doc break my water. Starting to feel the contractions but they aren't too bad yet, just really close together.

Thanks everyone! I have a little time now with all the family here to update. Oh, and to those who don't know the name we picked out, it's Gabriel Jensen. :)

So, got to the hospital at 6am, ended up getting my IV with pitocin started at 7am. I came in dialated between a 1 and 2 and ended up being stuck at a 2 for a little while and then finally started dialating, but progress was really slow. I started right out at contracting every 2 minutes, so things got rough fast. I got my epidural when I was between 3-4cm, but it did not fully take on the right side and I was still able to feel the contractions, though not as strong. I finally got to a 6 around 3pm but stalled there. The doctor cranked my pitocin up and I started contracting every 30 seconds, which was just insane, and they were sooo strong. Even with the epidural I was in so much pain. My body just did not want to dialate any farther and at 6pm the doctor told me that if I had not changed by the next time he checked me I was going in for a c-section. Thankfully after switching back and forth on my side, I was at a 10 and +1 station by 6:50. I pushed for about 20 minutes before Gabriel made his entrance into the world at 7:10pm. He had the cord wrapped around his neck, but the doctor said it was not tight and he cried right away. His poor little head is so bruised though. I also ended up being cut three times, I don't even know how many stitches I got, I'm too afraid and sore to look, lol.

He is such a good baby though. He sleeps so well. We are having a bit of trouble latching, but he seems to be doing better. We get to go home tonight at 7pm. I'll be sure to post more pictures in the next few days.

Thanks guys! We are home and resting. Gabriel is such an awesome little man, he is sleeping 2-3 hours at a time and we actually got a good 6 hours of sleep last night, which was pretty amazing. He is latching really well with a nipple shield, but I'm hoping once my milk comes in we can get rid of that. Poor little guy HATES having his diaper changed though, he screams bloody murder every time. I can't really blame him, I'm sure he is sooo sore.

I'll try to get some pictures up tomorrow. It's hard with family in and out, lack of sleep and whatnot. He sure is a cutie though!!
