Personally, going into it I wanted a dress not over $500....I think mine was just a little over that for the dress itself...

I got mine for $99 so I definitely wouldnt go over $500 for mine, but I could see paying between $500 - $1000 for it if it wasnt on sale!

You know what they say, Trish, sometimes if you snooze you lose. Good luck! :D

The first dress I found that I thought I loved was $5000. I would have gotten it if I hadn't found my dress that I had. It was around $1200. To me, I was so picky about my dress that cost wasn't something to figure into the equation or I NEVER would have found one.

Amber, your dress was $600 before taxes. I would have paid for anything you wanted, but I remember saying to myself, "thank God, it's not $1500!" lol:D

I was trying dresses on at the Demetrios store. The lady brought out this dress that my mom loved (it was totally not me, way to big, puffy, embellished, embroidered, ect.). But I tried it on because you never know. Luckily I got it on and really didn't like it at all. I asked the sales lady how much it was, her response, $10,000. My mother's face went snow white and she said in the meekiest voice I have ever heard in my life, "Do you like, Lace?" I was going to play with her for a moment. But then I remembered her heart condition. So I told her the truth, that I hated it. She just looked at me and went "Thank the Lord!" Then we (including the sales girl) all started to laugh. (By the way I asked and as of that point they had the dress for almost a year and no one had ordered one, go figure)

LOL!!! Wow!! And you didn't even like it? We didn't see anything even near that range, but I think I would have loved to have seen it just to compare to the other dresses. Trying wedding dresses on is so much fun!!! :D

Mine was 790.00 before taxes, but i would have paid up to $1500.00 if that is how much it was, because I loved it!!!

Here it is. It was a beautiful dress, just not a Lacey styled dress.

I think mine was like in the $700 range. We were prepared to spend around $1000, but I liked this one the best!

I was expecting to walk in David's Bridal, and buy one of the $99 dresses they advertised. Instead, I went to Group USA and paid $650.00

My dress was 789.00 after tax...I wanted less than 500.00 but when I found it Dad said "whatever you want sweetie, as long as you're happy."

Well I voted for under $500. I had a limit of about $300 for my gown. And I got mine for about $340 I think. Not bad. Then I had to pay for alterations and the veil and what not. For my first wedding I did pay about $600 but that included the veila nd the alterations so it was a good deal in the end.

My head keeps telling me that wedding gowns are insanely priced and that $500 is the absolute limit. But for some reason, I keep justifying the prices because it's a wedding gown! So I guess I can't decide! :bblol: Seriously, I wouldn't pay over $700 total for a gown. If I found one that I just had to have, but was over that price, I'd have it copied.

I paid $1100 for my dress. I even called to check with Matt that that woudl be ok...he told me I could spend up to $3000 on a dress but I just couldn't see spending that much on a dress for one day. I figured with the $1900 left over I could splurge on other things like shoes, jewellry and veil.

I spent $389 on my wedding dress....but I would have spent up to about $800....more than that I think is excessive for a dress you are only going to wear once.

Any amount that's realistic to your budget. I always say there's a cheaper version out there somewhere.

Cost doesn't matter as long as you love and can afford it.
