My name is Isis, I got engaged on July 24, 2009. I am currently planning a wedding for May 21, 2011. People hear my wedding date and tell me I jave a lot of time but I think the sooner I start, the lower the stress at the end. :wedding:

Im currently in my last year of college, which is why I wanted to set a date in 2011, like that i would be able to graduate and have time to plan.

Im looking forward to all your advice, and I am also here to help you guys out. =) Hope we become friends.

Welcome to OW!! I love your name! I think getting a headstart on things is a great idea, gives you plenty of time to compare prices and look at all your options..sounds smart to me! Good luck!!

Welcome! I got engaged the 16 of July and am getting married the 15 of July, 2001. Also, we are both waiting to finish school. Everyone always says that there is a lot of time and all that jazz and it can get frustrating at times! I look at it as being the happiest time of my life and i am going to celebrate and enjoy it for the next two years! There are lots of brides on the forum with 2011 dates! It is nice to have you!:hearts:

Congrats and welcome to the board!

I agree -- there is nothing wrong with getting an early start on wedding planning, especially when you also have school to keep you busy as it is. The time flies by.

It is never to early to plan! Especially with you in school--a wedding may only be one day, but it takes many days of planning to get there.

This gives you time to check out places, price compare, read over potential contracts, the whole nine. Check out some bridal shows during this time too. Gets you lots of great info and maybe some deals. Congrats to both you and the Fiance!

2011 bride here too!! :D

we are waiting for all the same reasons you are and then some... i def don't think its too early to start planning. You will feel alot better knowing you have your reception and ceremony venues booked way in advance... and you can space planning out so you don't have too much on top of that school work load

can't wait to hear your plans :hearts:
