After reading tons of DIY threads on here, I got the idea to name our tables rather than number them. It was something different that I've never seen before, and I just LOVE to be different! :bbmrgreen:
I just need help coming up with different names for the tables, keep in mind that it's medieval themed. Can anyone think of anything cute? I'm not sure how many tables we'll have, so I would rather have a list of too many names rather than not enough and be stuck! lol Anyone's input will certainly be considered and is appreciated! Thank you!

How about important dates in history and tell what happened on that date. Of course this one requires a bit of studying.

Arthur's Abode
Merlin's Magical Garden
Morgaine's Manor
Cai's Court
Igraine's Inglenook
Pelinore's Palace
Elaine's Estate
Gawain's Grounds (or Grange)
Percival's Place

I think this is a great idea!
I also wanted to name my tables, but we ended up with 21 tables and for crowd control's sake we had to just give them numbers in the end. No one would have been able to find their table otherwise!
I love all of wedbyjean's suggestions!

thanks for the other ideas so far! :)
we're not too worried about people finding their tables. Basically, the only assigned seats are for the wedding party and the parents. But the rest is a "seat your self" sorta deal. We're just going to have it buffet style. So we don't have to worry about people knowing who is eating what and where they're sitting.
The only reason I wanted the tables named/numbered was for the DJ. The way my family has always done it is, the DJ announces the bridal party table to get their food. Then when the line is getting a bit shorter, they would announce the parents' table to go up. Then from there, they would announce all the guest tables, so as not to have all sorts of confusion with 300+ people all trying to get their dinner at once! This way the DJ can announce that the guests should take notice of what table they are sitting at, explain the table names if we do that, or just note what table number they are, then when he/she calls their table, they can go up and it's much orderly than everyone crowding the buffet table at once!
Thanks again for all these ideas so far! They are great! More ideas are welcomed! :)
