I have been only taking this for two days. And each time I take it with food, but my stomach sure doesn't like it. Ouch! Please tell me, it gets better right??

My stomach didn't hurt when taking it...But I'd assume that it would have different side effects for everyone.

Provera periods are the worst....I've had 4 of them already, and I absolutely despise Provera...LOL..But, it gets the job done!

Well I just had a scare! When I picked up my prescription there was 30 pills on the bottle and the label said take 1 every day. So I called my doctor because I thought I was only suppose to take it for 10 days. I didn't have the bottle in front of me and she thought they gave me the wrong pills :petrified: So she called CVS who filled them. Turns out they are the right pills but the mixed up on the quantity and I only need to take 10. Pheww!!

Wow Danielle, I'm sorry to hear the pills make your stomach upset. That would freak me out as well, if I was told to take more than I had to take, especially if they already upset my stomach!

Awww, yuck. I hope it evens out and your stomach feels better. Just try to envision baby every time you take one. :)

Good idea, just not when I am actually swallowing the pills. Swallowing a baby is kind of creepy. LOL:bblol:

are you eating before you take them? I never had a problem with upset stomach but I always ate before taking them since some meds make me sick. I also took them at night. The worst part of them was they made me bloated and have a bad period.

On a side note, and not to scare you. What dose of clomid will you be on? The clomid side effects were much worse for me than provera. Headaches, hot flashes, and according to DH moodiness.

Good luck and I hope it gets better.

Yea, I was on 200mg of Clomid and the side effects weren't fun at all. For me personally, the hotflashes were the absolute worse....Then again, I was taking them in June and July too, so that did help I'm sure! lol

But you know what Danielle, It'll all be soooo worth it when your holding that new little baby! That's what I keep telling myself

I eat when I take them but not before. Maybe I'll try that. To start they will have me on 50 mg of clomid on CD 5-9.

I would try eating before and see if that helps. At least its only for 10 days and not 30!! Glad you got that all straightened out with your doctor and pharmacist!

just a tip about clomid that I didn't know when I was taking it. My RE was talking about the side effects of clomid and I was like yeah I had all of those, and then he said you have to watch your carb intake on clomid because you can easily gain weight. Once I thought about it i was like wow i did gain about 4 lbs while I was on it. but i went back to normal since i have stopped taking it.

Well Danielle, I'm on board now too. I started on Saturday, so I'm only on day 3 right now. We decided to hold off on the clomid for now, at least for one month, just to see how my cycle plays out. I haven't had any nausea yet, but I HAVE had 2 episodes of hot flashes. YIKES!! It's like my body was on fire from the inside out, and I couldn't get my clothes off fast enough!

So for this month we're just seeing how it goes... but I'd be thrilled to live vicariously through you if this was your month!!!!!! :crossfingers: :crossfingers: :crossfingers: :crossfingers: (that's both hands and both feet!!!)

I haven't got any hot flashes, but I still have the nausea. I guess it affects everyone differently. I take my last one on Wednesday. :) I hope your hot flashes go away soon! We should be ovulating close to each other this month :) Good luck and lots of baby dust!

She's right. I gained weight (we're talking 10 pounds in 3 months :bbredface:) But now that I've been off it, I feel MUCH better about body image, and my clothes are fitting a bit better. It was weird because I actually CRAVED carbs while on the Clomid. Something about comfort food maybe?!?! IDK, but it was bad!

How are you making out with it? Have you started it?

oh no! I guess I well just have to stay conscious of this. Thanks for the heads up Sarah and Amanda! Wednesday is my last provera day. I am doing Clomid CD 5-9 this cycle. It feel like this provera thing is taking fooooorever.
