Photo Proofs

How long did everyone wait after their wedding to actually see proofs of their Wedding Day photo's? I know a couple girls have gotten them back pretty quick or had online access to see them.
It's been just over a month and mine still arn't ready. My photographer is editing them and doing colour correction and fixing any blemmishes. But i am becoming more and more impatient each day!
If you haven't had your wedding yet. Did you photographer state in the contract how long it would be until you could see proofs?! If so, how long did they say?

I think mine took about 3 weeks but I'm not really sure.

Mine were online about 2 weeks after the wedding. She told me that I would have the photos within a week or so. What exactly does the "OR SO" mean anyways. Because I had to e-mail her today to find out where they are. It has been over a month now.

She also told me that once I get my photos Nicholas and I have to go though them to see what we want in the book. And because the book is done by hand and the guy is busy this time of year that it will take about 12 weeks before I get the book once I decide on the photos and get back to her with them.

I think we were told about 3 weeks for our proofs. Could be a week earlier, could be a week later. I don't think thats too bad, but I know I will be very impatient when it comes to that time!

I know that our photographer has had proofs posted on his site as early as the next day for some weddings, but I guess it depends on how busy he is. We will get our proof book 2-3 weeks after...then select the pics for our album and I'm not sure what the turn-around is on that!!!

It makes me a little crazy when people are so vauge. a week or so would make me think max 2 weeks. But no more then that.

Mine haven't been posted online, She will be putting 200 into a photo album for us and we'll be getting all the photos taken on CD's which is great. But i'm just feeling fustrated that it hasn't come in. I am really dying to see them. My family is on my case about them know. The disposable camera pics just arn't cutting it anymore.

When I was a photographer I had print proofs ready for viewing 2 weeks after the wedding. I didn't do any editing to the proofs, I would only do that for the album and/or finished prints. Once the couple came in to view and pick what they wanted for the album, that took about 3 weeks to complete.

However I know other photographers that take 3-6 weeks to get proofs back to the bride. I think it has to do with how busy the photographer and/or company is and if they had more than one wedding that weekend and such. Were your proofs promised at a certain time? Have you called to check in on the progress? If you haven't gotten them by 6 weeks then I would start complaining.

Sadly, I've heard many storied of it taking an excessively long time for brides to get their proofs. I know of one bride that didn't get proofs back for 6 months! I don't know what these photographers are doing with the proofs ... I know most of the pro labs I go to can have prints back in a week or less. Even the mail order places can have print proofs back in 2 weeks or less. And it seems to me that digital proofs would be easier to deal with. I know a photographer that shoots digital and gives the couple a book of thumbnail proofs to order from and he has that ready for them in less than 2 weeks. So unless their was a problem of some kind, I don't know what could be the cause of such a wait.

We first got to see proofs about 4 weeks after the wedding then it was another 4 weeks before we got our album but it was well worth the wait! ;)

My contract says 4 - 6 weeks for the actualy pictures. She estamated a week or so but the lab was backed up. She told me she put them in the mail yesterday. So cross your fingers that I have them by tomorrow or Monday.

I so cant wait. I was helping my freind go through her wedding phots tonight. They came out so nice. With the rainbow behind them and all. They were so good and I wanted my BAD.

Ours took 3 weeks for paper proofs and a DVD slideshow movie, but I am still waiting on the CDs so I can't post any of them.
