Cake Boss: Bridezilla Ruins Her Cake (http://tlc.discovery.com/videos/cake-boss-bridezilla-ruins-her-cake.html)
I saw this episode today and was like :bbeek: I can't believe that chick!
She was fighting with her mother about what both of them wanted and dude drew up a sketch of what they agreed upon. Then out of the blue and unscheduled she goes to the bakery the day before the wedding to see the cake.
After all that the guy agrees to make a new cake, to make the mother happy since she was apparently a repeat customer, and he delivered the cake personally and the bride didn't even come out of the dressing room to acknowledge him *wow*

I remember that episode! That girl was horrible. She was so rude when he went and delivered her new cake, I couldn't believe how she was acting. I wouldn't have even made her a new one, the way she treated both Buddy and the old cake. She was definitely a bridezilla.

Wow. I just watched that...and I'm horrified! :petrified: I can't ever imagine feeling that entitled to march into somebody's place of business and ruin their work like that.
And that guy deserves a cake of his own for being nice about it and not throwing her out and for not telling her that she needs to hit up the grocery store for some premade birthday cake because she's on her own. :bun:

I wouldn't have made her another cake either, not unless she paid a rush for a new one. People shouldn't be allowed to get away with such behavior.
It is not like the baker just made it wrong; they agreed on a design at the consultation ... seems to me that the bride was just so pissy with her mother and didn't really want to be there and just wasn't paying attention.
Sure every bride deserves to get what they want and her mother shouldn't have tried to push what she wanted on her daughter, but the bride didn't need to be so rude and disrespectful and act like a spoiled 5 year old. And it was just as rude to not even acknowledge the hard work that guy had to do in less than a day!
*shakes head* Some people amaze me :snide:

That is ridiculous! I would definantly not make her a new cake. I mean... my goodness. He could have at least taken what he had and added color to the cake. Some people are so rude! It reminds me of Oprah's episode about what is rude the other day!
I hope that he charged her an arm and a leg for both fo the cakes he had to make! That is a high profile baker... he shouldn't have to take **** like that.
I wish I had someone that amazing to make me a beautiful cake like that! She needs to grow up... :chair:
Oh heck no! I would have quit on her and told her to find another baker. Scr*w her! That's terrible.

Yeah vendors always want to make the customer happy, but some people will never be happy no matter what you do. The risk of having someone talk bad about you/your business or try to sue you should not be an ok for people to be rude and disrespectful like this person was. I bet this girl will still talk bad about the guy and probably is proud of what she did.
This sort of thing is why you have consultations and why dude sketched out what they agreede on; who knows if he had them sign off on the design, but I would have, especially since it was obvious that the mom and the bride didn't exactly agree. I do feel bad for him having to deal with her; he handled it better than I would have.

Oh my gosh! That's when I would have been like, "See ya, go see what Wal-Mart has sitting out!"
Reminds me of an episode of Bridezillas where the bride had originally asked for one flavor cake, and a few days before the wedding they changed it to another flavor... so the day before the wedding she went in to see it and decided she wanted the first flavor, so she pretended like she had never changed her mind and that the bakery just made it with the wrong flavor, then she went and mashed it up with her hands!

Ya I saw that episode too and my jaw dropped when she did that! First of all, the original cake was gorgeous. I give that guy props, I would not have been able to make a cake after she acted like that.
I thought his comment at the end of the show was funny...his good luck to the groom!

Holy cow! I wouldn't have been so nice. I would have told her either she is getting the cake delivered like that to her wedding tomorrow, or she can go to walmart and picked out a cake there, because she is not getting a new one.

Ughhhh! What is wrong with her? I think I would feel bad saying anything if I hated my wedding cake. It is just going to get eaten anyways!
Did anyone see this Bridezilla ruining her cake too?

Oh wow she's got a worse attitude than the other one! At least she didn't chuck the small cake at the big cake!

Holy Moly ... I really don't understand how these people can act like that!
I mean, there is nothing wrong with wanting things a certain way for your event (wedding or not) but to order something and then not follow through to make sure you got what you wanted until the last minute and/or change your mind at the last minute and then blame the vendor and blow up on them like that is ... just appalling :boggle:
For all the vendors out there; I hope you all get your brides to sign off on their order before hand. And put it all in writing, so there is no she said/you said later. And for the brides out there; it would be a good idea to check in with your vendors 2 weeks before the wedding to make sure things are going smoothly and everything is as you wanted. And get every detail in writing; that way if something is wrong, you can prove that it is not the way you ordered/was promised.

i remember that episode! she goes into the back and while he's away she takes colored frosting and drips it all over it. when he comes back you can see how outraged he is tho he hides his temper well if you ask me. i agree tho that the 2nd cake with the colorful flowers looks WAY better - but i wonder if the camera crew or producers forced her to act more spoiled than she really was. after all, what bride (even if she WAS a bridezilla) would DO that? i mean yikes O.O

oh my god. I'm normally much more relaxed and chill...but if I met that chick, I would guarantee that not just her feet would be on the ground.

I agree with WebLady check out things out before the final date and do not wait until the last second to do things, this is a vital step to ensure you have what want. This Bridezilla was out of her mind. The behaviour displayed was unexceptable, childish, and ungreatful. She was lucky the vendor did not refuse to service her after her physical assult of madness on that cake.
