OK so an old friend from high school came to my wedding shower and saw a picture of my dress....10 months later she walked the aisle in the same dress.
She did this in highschool too, I'd like something and she'd run out and buy it before me, but this is less than a year after my wedding and she's wearing the same dress, same veil, same hair... and had the same style wedding....
Does anyone think this is just weird!

I picked best form of flattery but only because she did it after you so you must had looked **** GOOD. If you had of showed her a pic of your dress before your wedding and she got married before you and wore it then I would be majorly pi$$ed :censored: .
Have any pics of this famous dress?

I picked that too because you were the first and any people that went to both weddings, saw you in it first and would then know that she copied you. Now if she had bought it and worn it before your wedding... well then it would have been on! :boxing:

I was thinking the same thing...you must have looked smashing and she could only HOPE to look as good as you...be flattered... she's the one that will have to deal with..."hmm pretty but isn't that the 2nd time that was done?!"
Let's see the pics, I'm curious now!

I picked Ask her why. I wouldn't be upset unless she did it for a mean reason. I would be flattered if she chose it because she thought i looked so nice in it. But curiosity would really get the best of me.

She did it all after you. So it looks like she was copying you, not the other way around. Was your wedding fabulous? Did you have the time of your life? Do you feel it was a reflection of you and you husband? That is all that matters.

It would make me angry. I don't like people imitating me.

I'd probably be flattered and a wee bit annoyed. Since her wedding was after yours, anyone who was invited to both will probably noticed that she copied so she'd be the one who looked bad, not you. Sounds like she's not a very creative person if this isn't the first time she's done this sort of thing....

I would be very curious as to why, so I would ask, but I guess I would also be flattered. Like the other ladies said...you must have looked fabulous...adn since it was after your wedding you weren't the one that looked liek you were copying or lacking creativity, so there really wasn't any damage done. Plus. if you say that she is always like this...it probably just means that she wants to be like you!!!!

I had a similar problem with FSIL... before I found my dress, I had found another one that I really liked and she went out and put a down payment on it for herself!! I was really upset about it so I talked to her about it and after a while she apologized and went with me to find a different dress for herself... I know that its kinda too late for that but I know how you feel... I was pissed and flattered at the same time. I'd just let it roll!! I always thought in my head (this is bad so please forgive me) "She doesnt look as good as I do in that dress." Although its nasty, it made me feel a lot better. I didnt say it to anyone, until now, but it helped me not over-react to the situation.
