I gave in and decided that we are definitely going to find out what the sex of the baby is. I scheduled the ultrasound today at my appointment. This friday is the big day!! Woohoo!!!

I can honestly say I don't care either way. At the moment I'm thinking this will be our last child, so a girl would be great (I'd have one of each then.) But at the same time, I would love for Ryan to have a brother only two years younger then he is.
I really have no feeling either way. This pregnancy is completely different from my first. I have had less morning sickness this time, I'm carrying higher, more tired, etc.
I'm also actually having cravings this time, which I never had any with my son. But now I can't get enough sweets.
Amanda, I have to admit I'm going to be afraid to tell you if it ends up being a boy! LOL

if you still want to "wait" my sisters dr. did something so cute for her.

they went and had the ultrasound and wrote the sex of the baby on a paper and mailed it to me and my mom so we knew what to tell everyone to buy her for the shower but they still had no clue. Then we threw the shower and just dyed the center of the cake the color (PINK) and they didn't find out till the cake was almost gone and we didn't have any left over cake. ha ha

so she got the stuff that she needed but still didn't know until later.

either way can't wait to find out. I personally want all boys. ha ha i've seen what i put my mom through. Boys seem easier. :bbmrgreen:

well it sounds like it may be a girl. Your symptoms sound a lot like mine. I cant get enough sweets either, I am starting to worry that if I am not careful I will end up with gestational diabetes, but like you I cant get enough sweets.

I have been trying to keep my sweets intake down. My problem is I mostly crave chocolate. And since I have gestational hyper thyroidism (over active thyroid just because I'm pregnant) that causes a racing heart. And of course caffiene makes it worse.

Sounds like a girl! Just because your pregnancy is completely different from your last one. Mine has been *exactly* the same, so I pretty much knew it was a boy from the beginning. Tomorrow's the big day!!!

I have some OJ in the fridge to drink before I go. That is suppose to give the LO energy to move around. At least it's what I was told to drink with my son to do kick counts and such. SO I'll make sure he/she is moving for the U/s! LOL

I drank some orange juice about 30 minutes before my ultrasound but my little one was being a bit lazy. I did hear that the colder it is, the more active the baby will be. Good Luck today, I cant wait to hear the results.

baby. Yep. They couldn't tell. They way the baby was positioned I couldn't even get a picture of his/her face. So not even a picture to look at until I know the sex. And my doctor doesn't normally do another u/s unless there is a problem. :(

Aw shucks!!!! Have you told your doc you want to find out for sure and that he/she has to make an exception for you? Come on now - inquiring minds want to know! Sorry the baby wasn't positioned right :(

Oh no! Well, at least we know he or she's on there and growing. :) Here's hoping your doctor will order another u/s. My MOH found an 3D u/s place here that only charged $75 for sexing the baby. Maybe you could search your area for something like that.

Oh no, I was so anxious to find out the sex of your little one. Well at least you know that he/she is growing. Maybe you can tell the doctor that you just HAVE to know the sex of the baby. And ask for another U/S.

I'm going to try asking the doctor. The doctor I have been seeing is actually the assistant and we clicked right away. So goes on maternity leave in 6 weeks. She is giving me all her maternity clothes (well most of them since she'll still be wearing some) at my next visit. So I might be able to swing her to order another. We'll see.
My mom wants to buy me the incredagender test now. But after knowing it was wrong for megan I'm not sure how much I trust it! LOL

The Intelligender test was fun, but it was definatly WRONG, so if she does buy it for you, I would NOT take it seriously. Good Luck getting another scan. I hope you can get it.

Oh darn! I can see that totally happening to me...just the kind of luck I have. They should do another u/s so you can find out the sex! I didn't realize that docs can be so stingy with the u/s! I thought you could just go in and get them done whenever!
