Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

So DH & I did get away fo a honeymoon even though we didn't think we would and we decided to drive to Niagara Falls, Ontario - which is a 15-16 hour drive from us in New Brunswick.

Neither of us had either been so we were pretty excited.

We left the Monday after the wedding and returned Saturday spending a night on the drive up there in Vaudreuil Quebec, 3 nights in Niagara and 1 night on the way back in Quebec City.

We had an amazing time - besides the one incident where we (or maybe just I) thought we were going to die. A transport truck literally ran us off the road just outside Cornwall, Ontario. We were in the passing lane and a ways up on a transport to pass it and he thought he'd come right over into our lane. The trailer of the transport almost hit the side our vehicle where I was sitting so DH had to make a move and put us into the grass in the median between the 2 sections of the 4 lane highway to prevent us from getting hit. We couldn't stop as there was another car right behind us.

Thankfully there was no damage to the car and we both escaped without injury. The trucker didn't even stop. We called in a reckless driver report but they said there wasn't much they could do since we weren't injured and there wasn't damage to the car but that they would keep an eye out.

Anyways just thought I'd start a thread to share some pictures.

So this was probably the highlight of the trip for us.

We also took in the Greg Frewin magic show, a couple of wax museums, Ripley's, Gusiness World Records, etc.

Of course we are interested!!! lol... I have never been to a Ripley's and I live an hour away from one! Also, wax museums creep me... but they are neat! Sounds like you had a blast!

And yes we had a blast and would recommend it to anyone and if you go then you definately have to splurge on the helicopter ride.

I'm glad you posted the pictures from the helicopter, I'm going to show them to my husband when he gets back, since we've wondered what it's like to see them from so high up. We've been the American Falls Park and to your native land's side a few times, but we've never gone on the Maid of the Mist or the helicopter ride or any of the fun stuff. We'll have to do that before we leave Buffalo!

I would love to see more pics :D

Oh the helicopter ride was amazing. A little pricer but definately worth it. It was going to be $226CDN for the 2 of us but we found a $10 off coupon....definately a memorable time. I'm so glad we did it and whats most shocking to most people is that neither of us have been in a plane and we got on the helicopter no problem.

The maid of the mist was definately cool too - and was included in our hotel package so I'm not exactly sure of the price. I'm going to guess between $15-$20 per person.
