I'm planning on doing our invitations, programs, and flowers for sure. I'm also going to do the favors, but that's super easy because we're just putting M&Ms into boxes and sealing with a monogram seal. Of course, I might decide to make the boxes and seals myself. I've also thought about making monogramed tote bags or makeup bags for the bridesmaids, since my sewing machine can do embroidery.
Speaking of the BM gifts, I'm planning on staining wooden boxes and doing a mosaic on the top, in each one's favorite colors, as part of the gift. I've also toyed with making his parents and mine each a quilt, but I might not have time.
I've already made my FB basket and RB pillow.
I like doing stuff myself and can usually save money doing it, so that's why I'm doing so much.

I don't have any close up pictures of the things I made for our wedding. But I made the unity candle holder, the FG headband, the invitations, the programs, the centerpieces, the flower arrangements and added the embellishments for the wreath I wore. It was fun. In fact I would love to do this for a living. :bblol:

Since I'm able to post pics now, I thought I'd post my FG basket and RB pillow. I'm afraid I'm probably going to have to redo the pillow, because it apparently got wax on it somehow and has a slight yellow tinge. I'm going to try the paper bag and iron method to try and get the wax out, but it may be a lost cause.
Here's the basket.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v112/asm198/fgbasket3.jpg
And the pillow. It's currently unstuffed, until I figure out the wax situation. See the yellow spot? :bbcry:

Description
Put together these wedding favors quickly by yourself or even quicker the more friends/family you have helping. They will not only mean something now but will serve as a reminder in the future when they are planted and pop out of the ground in someones garden or flower boxes.
purple tulle circles29 diameter3½ black mesh ribbon1 piece24 longflower bulbs6smallrubber band1printer paper1 sheet
Step By Step Instructions
1. Overlap 2 9 purple tulle circles by 3.
2. Lay the 6 bulbs of your choice in the 3 overlapped area of the tulle circles.
3. Gather the tulle tightly around the bulbs. Secure the tulle around the bulbs with an elastic just above the bulbs.
4. Measure and cut a 24 piece of the 3 ½ wide black mesh ribbon. Wrap the ribbon around the area gathered together by the elastic, leaving enough to tie a bow. Tie a bow with the remaining mesh ribbon.
5. Create and print off a tag to accompany the bulbs you are giving out to thank people for coming to your wedding. You could include a picture of yourselves on one side with a message on the other or just a message, whatever you desire or is within your capabilities. Maybe you know someone who is really talented on the computer and has the software you need or you could get it done professionally. Either way your wedding favors will be special!

Description
Jazz up a simple candle with artificial flowers to make these attractive wedding favors for your guests. Personalize each one with a slip of paper bearing your names, the date of your wedding and a special message.
SupplyQuantitySizeCommentsclear candleholder1candle waxcandle wick1 piece5 longwick tab1pink artificial roses5smallred artificial roses5smallwhite artificial roses5small
Step By Step Instructions
1. Melt the amount of wax you need to make these candles.
2. Insert one end of the piece of wick through the end of the wick tab. Tie the other end to a Popsicle stick. Lay the Popsicle stick across the top of the candleholder. Pour a small amount of wax in the bottom of the candleholder to keep the wick tab in place.
3. Scoop up some of the melted wax with a stainless steel measuring cup and pour wax into the candleholder until it is about 1 from the top edge. You may have to push the wick tab down with a Popsicle stick if it pops up.
4. Let cool completely until the wax has hardened. The wax may shrink when it is completely cooled so you may need to top up your candles to make them level once again. Let cool again until the additional wax is hard.
5. Trim the wick to Ό.
6. Separate the artificial flower buds you want to use from the stems.
7. Decide how you want to arrange your artificial flowers around the rim of the candleholder. When you know how you want to arrange them, hot glue the buds just below the rim all the way around the candleholder.

I had pretty much the same card box..we just went to Micheal's or any craft store and buy those mache' boxes in dif. sizes, then we just glued them together, well here are the directions we used actually, hopefully that helps. You can tweek it as much as you want, and the boxes are really inexpensive.

Did you make the stencil yourself? How did you do it without the etching cream going under the stencil and becoming one big blob? I tried it last night with a real plastic stencil..taped it on as tight as I could so that it wouldnt go under it and it still did it.. :(
