My goodness! This is so foreign to me!! All of this was so sudden, but I went to the my doctor and she put me on the same meds. I am supposed to take it days 5-9. Will I have any changes in my cycle? Which has been very regular. And if it does change what should I do? I don’t start (the meds) until next month because my appointment was after I had my cycle. I know every woman is different...but how long should it be before most women get pregnant?...
Don’t mind the signature down there. Me and hubby got married in March...yea that’s a different thread! Lol.

I'm a little confused about why your doc would put you on clomid if you have regular cycles... are you not ovulating?
Many of the OWers that have taken clomid have reported extreme mood swings.
Good luck!

...I have had issues w/ endometriosis and also problems w/ ovulation. I have always been told that my "case" is rather strange b/c I had no issues w/ conceiving my 9 yr old son. Just pray for me.

Wierd...
I was on Clomid for 3 cycles without concieving. I find it strange that the doctor put you immediately on the Clomid. How long have you been trying?
And it's not unusual to have trouble concieving after having no problems the first time around. It can actually be quite common.
Good luck.

It's a long and strange story. We have a few "slip ups" within the 4 yrs we were dating. I notice that within that long period of time I never gotten pregnant. We were never trying but...you know things happen (if you know what I'm talking about). After a while that and the issue w/ the endometriosis is what broght me to see my doctor. Its been 6 months since I had my surgery to get it removed and as we know endometriosis can cause some fertility issues. So now I'm on the Clomid...Does any of this make any sense?

Your cycle should stay regular, at least mine did. I got PG with my second cycle on clomid. If you take it days 5-9, you should ovulate on day 16 (give or take). I did that my first cycle but when you take it on days 5-9 the chances are greater for only one egg released, but it is mature. After I researched it, I decided on my own to take it days 3-7, which has a better chance of releasing multiple eggs but they aren't as mature. That was my jackpot! And my main complaint was the mood swings, I'd cry at the drop of a hat and it was super-embarrassing!

This is my third and probably final clomd cycle whether i get pg or not. (Hopeing to move to something more agressive if this cycle doesn't work)
I took it days 5-9 the first 2 cycles, First cycle I O on cd 17, 2nd cycle on cd 20. I asked my dr. about days 3-7 and that is what i did this cycle and O on cd 16. You should be regular on clomid, providing you have the right dose and you actually ovulate. I have read that clomid can either help you or hurt you. Clomid can dry up your cm, making it hostile for sperm. But it works wonders for many.
The side effects get worse each cycle because it builds up in your system. The first cycle I had mild mood swings. 2nd cycle more mood swings and hot flashes. this cycle mostly just hot flashes.. ugh.
Good luck.

Wow!..Thanks. I'm actually very eager and thrilled. I pray that all goes well. Like I stated before all this is new to me. She also gave me some prenatal vitamins...which I have already started taking.
