You have a long time yet. You can start planning but take your sweet time doing it. It's almost 2 years. That's a very long time.

Well i was thinking about the time that the wedding is going to be in and it is a long time so i decided to change the date! i will get married in July 08,2006!! i moved it up a whole year and hopefully everything goes right! i asked my fiancee what he thought about it and he said it seemed to be a really long time before we are married! Thank you for letting me know that it was a long time!!

I started planning my wedding about a year in advance...probably a little over that in fact. I found that the more vendors I booked with with over a year to go thought that I wasn't crazy and that infact I was saving myself some stress. (And I got what I wanted!) I also found that some vendors, were willing to discount some things for me, because I did give them a deposit sooner than a year. A year can really fly by, believe me, I'm down to 95 days until my wedding, so I would recommend planning things bit by bit, and saving your self some stress.

I started to plan my May 2006 wedding in March. This gave me 14 months. My fiance and I wanted to take our time and get exactly what we wanted. This amount of time has allowed us to do so. You will find a lot of venues may not reserve unless it is a year or less ahead of time. We talked to several places like that. So I would say a year ahead of time for you to strt planning. I would use the next several months to bank roll some money for those initial deposits.

I've started preliminary planning and my wedding isn't until May of 2006 too. I've found that there are quite a few places that won't take any reservations until a year beforehand AND it's not like you can buy dresses that early. So, while I would start thinking about your wedding, you definitely don't have to start stressing yet...Congratulations!

Start as early as you can, because believe it or not - when you have time you can negotiate with vendors. I have been planning my January 14, 2006 wedding for about a year an a half and I have been able to get everything that I want because I budgeted myself.
Let's take your wedding date into consideration - July '06
If you have a $10,000 budget / 14 months would give you a budget of about $750 monthly, as long as you either save that - or pay that towards the cost of something you will save drastically!!
My budget is only $5000 believe it or not, and as of now - I still have $1200 left and the only things I haven't gotten are my centerpieces and aisle runner.

GOOD LUCK! You can have champagne taste with beer money.
