This is my third journal since I became addicted to wedding planning chitchat... First at WC, Then at UW, and now at... whatever we decide to dub this place. :)
It seems like a pain to have to keep moving everything around, but who knows? Maybe this will turn out to be a good thing, and everything will be more organized this time around?... HA! I make me laugh. :)
Since I cant post pictures yet, I'm going to start setting up my intro posts and I will just come back later on to insert the pictures. (Yeah, I'm totally copying what Becki did. What can I say? She's a smart girl!)
And here's hoping that all my super awesome buddies show up for a good-old-fashioned Possum Piss bashing session. :)
do I really get to be the first visitor????
that would be toooo cool...
ohhh yeah I found ya :bbmrgreen:

lmao, yep you're #1! How awesome are you?!!! :)
I'm trying to see if I can stand looking at my old WC journal for "inspiration" on starting this new one. sigh. :)

How we "became" Jeffy & Sarah:
I'm Sarah, 25, in Central New York, and my fiancee is Jeff, also 25.
[Insert Picture ]
We became friends when we were working together at a department store (if any of you ever heard of Ames, that's what it was. If not, it was kind of like Wal-Mart, but smaller. So probably more like a K-Mart.) He chased me for a long time before he (as he puts it) "wore me down". We have kind of running joke that is along the lines of, "Is that your final answer?" The funny thing was that I knew if we started dating we'd end up together-permanently, and for some reason that kind of freaked me out a little bit. I'm over that now. http://boards.weddingchannel.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif We've been together five years last month (June).

About Me:
All you need to know about me is that I think I'm funny. Once you accept that I'm going to tease you (lovingly, of course) you will grow to love me. :) Am I being too honest here? lol. I also make some of the lamest jokes EVER. But I like them. See, I'm endearing that way. You already love me, dont you? I knew I'd win you over.
I do post from work when I get the chance, and every so often I seem to "disappear". That's usually around the busy times at work, like the past TWO MONTHS! lol. I work at local college, and I bet you thought summer was the "down time," right? HA! The college I work at distributes cell phones to the students instead of having regular land line phones in the dorm rooms. They also distribute laptops to "required majors" (mostly business and technology related). And I work in the office that handles both. (I'm only explaining this now because I've been asked too explain before, so I thought I'd get it out of the way up-front!) In the summer time we get tons of deliveries of new laptops and phones, as well as having to process and refurbish returns. On top of answering tons of emails, and phone calls from incoming students and their families about how the whole program works. This last week was Orientation (it actually ends tomorrow) so I could totally recite the whole system for you right now... but I dont want to. :p (<---thats my tongue sticking out, if you couldnt tell.)
I enjoy candlelit dinners and long walks on the beach. lol. Okay really I enjoy being silly, and drawing/designing. Those are pretty much my two favorite things to do/be ever.

About Jeffy:
Jeffy works nights at a casino in surveillance. So basically he sits on his tucus (or however that would be spelled) all night watching cameras. One perk of his job is that he actually had to learn how to card count, so we totally hit up Vegas every weekend. Yep. Totally. That's why I'm a millionaire that drives a semi-beat up Ford Taurus that my mechanic picks on. If you didnt catch the funnies in there, we dont really hit up Vegas, but he did actually have to learn card counting. And I do pester him to take me to Vegas and make me a millionaire. He wont do it. *boys*
His hobbies include: video games.
True Story!

Our "Kid":
Our kid? Has four paws. His name is Dale, and he's the cutest dog on the entire planet. :)
[Insert Picture]
He is both Jeff's "nephew", and his "son"... Dale's mom is a black lab named Sammie that belongs to Jeff's dad. The father was this sneaky neighborhood dog that would come visiting. He looked like he was mostly German Shepard.
Dale is a very silly puppy (that's really too big to still think he's a puppy...) so I'm sure at some point there will be some amusing stories in here about him. For now though, I'm just going with "world's cutest," and "totally silly".

Proposal:
Okay, so technically I picked our rings (from one of the flyers he brought home when we were in the talking about it stage), but he still managed to surprise me. One day in November (2004) we went to the mall to see a movie, stopped at my parents house for a little while, and came home. Just your average night off. After we'd been home for awhile Jeff went into the other room, and came back out with his hands behind his back and said he had a surprise for me... and whipped out an adorable teddy bear! I was all "awww! Thank you!" when I noticed that he was now down on one knee with a box in his hand. This is scanned from the catalog, since I'm too lazy to dig out my camera:
[Insert Picture]
Obviously I said yes. I think the biggest surprise to me was actually that he managed to show the rings to my parents while I was in the bathroom, and no one gave anything away! Who ARE those people?
I have recently been debating between a couple other rings that I may get for Jeff instead of the band that came in the set. I know he doesnt really care much for the fact that the band has the inlaid chips, but of course he says it's "fine". I was thinking it would be a surprise, so I cant ask for his opinion, but I have shown his best man a picture or two for his opinion. The consensus so far has been "Awesome, you should totally do it!"
[Insert Picture]
I haven't fully decided whether I am going to do this, though I really, really want to. Right now it depends on a couple factors, including money. I'm going to try my best to come to a decision really soon though!

Hi everybody! Today is my one month day... Jeff actually came home from work this morning and said, "Do you know what today is?" and I was shocked. I wanted to be cute and funny and say something like, "One month until THE END?" but he was being all sweet so i didnt want to *P* him off. I said, "yep..." and he said, "one month... are you nervous?" and he told me he's not either, except about the actual day and everything going right. To which of course I had to throw in my "well... then i guess maybe you should help me out a little with the planning of the day..." Yknow, you gotta throw in the sucker punches wherever you can. :)

Wow, I am impressed he is counting down! Guys tend to either not pay attention or just not tell us that they are thinking about it.
Happy 1 month until the big day!!!!!

I am impressed about the counting down too- Hugo doesn't even know how long we've been married (3 weeks! He is telling people 2!!)
Anyway I just wanted to say hi! I remember you from both WC and UW!! What a shame they went the way they did, but I am glad so many of us are reuniting here!
Have a fun final month!!! :D
