Dani's Baby Bump

Kind of a lazy day, though I made the crib up and its already for him. I still feel bad that its not a true nursery (its also the den). Oh well, he won't know the difference anyways. He will get the spare bedroom once he is out of the crib phase anyways.

since about Friday I have had on/off again lower back pain and a bit of pressure in the pelvic region...time is getting close! Not too mention my nightly freak out of crying from being overwhelmed and scared!

Today's update..had my internal exam, dr felt Jack's head..not dialated or anything! He mentioned inducing me or if I wanted to to wait till my water breaks on its own but won't let me go past a week after my due date..I have another dr appt next Monday, hopefully something happens between now and then...or this full moon cr@p is for the birds.

On another note, my brother whom I haven't talked to since Christmas (I refuse to call, as I am the only one who does..he can call me after all, I am pregnant he can see how I am doing)..was talking to my dad on Thursday and my dad said that I am hurt that he hasn't called and that this baby is due anyday...My brother was like "Anyday? I thought she had 3-4 months to go! (Yeah AT CHRISTMAS WHEN THE LAST TIME WE SPOKE!)..still no call. (I hope that he doesn't forget Jack's birthday's when its time..as I have NEVER forgotten his daughters birthday or holiday's.

Haha, I wasn't going to say anything until I saw the post above this, but when I read that about the doc feeling the head it kind of cracked me up. It just sounds like SUCH a weird thing to hear... "Well, everything looks good, glad you're healthy, I felt the head." So strange! But it means your baby's a-comin' soon!!!

Update: Nothing. lol. I am so stinkin ready for this to be over with!

Actually I have been waking up the last 2 nights with pain in my left side, but its the same pain on my ovary that I had before i was preggo..so not sure if its pregnancy related or just my old ovary flare up cyst.

Other than that, it is getting painful to walk...so I know he's low...but its all up to him! Men! lol

Though I am not sure if anything that I have had would be considered "Braxton Hicks" "Labor Pains" or just him moving around! The only thing that I am experiencing is lower back ache (for almost a week now), him moving around and squishing my bladder. Sometimes when I walk, it feels like he wants out, so I know he in position, but man, make up your mind! Your up your down..sounds like how my emotions are lately! lol

Today's update..last night I swore I felt a trinkle of warm water..plus i have had lower back aches for about a week...so I called the hosiptal and they wanted to check me...that was at 2 a.m. My blood pressure was on the higher side and my water did not break, dialation is at about the tip of your pinky. But because of the bp being high, they were going to see if it would get lowered or consider inducing me.

Finally saw the dr at 8 am this morning, had the worst exam ever...I was SCREAMING and my DH was freaking out. Dr did say that my cervix is tilted and pushed back and in most cases it would be a difficult birth that would result into a C-section. He said because I am not dialated and that the bp was down it was up to me on what we wanted to do, go natural and wait for the water to break/normal labor or go ahead and be induced which could take forever. We decided to let Jack make the decision and go naturally, but of course they won't let me go past a week of my due date.

So, we came home this morning and I slept and is DH and I am now on modified bed rest until the baby comes.

THe nurse also said, with previous experiences most first time moms are 4 days late after there due date....AAAAHHHHH!

Yesterday I did next to nothing, and when I actually had to go out with DH I was so sore, I am sure they were contractions, but haven't had them since. I laid down when I got home and felt good enough to go out to eat. We had Thai food...I figure, I will suffer the heartburn if it makes him want to come out....and NOTHING happens! lol.

Tomorrow I have a dr appt so hopefully there is some sort of change (and I will be happy to NOT see the dr that I had on Friday morning.) :)

Hey i am home! Just popping in to say that he is just the cutest baby in the world! He is so mellow and just so sweet I am in total love!

I had a dr appt on 4/5/10 and my fluids were low so they sent me to the hospital that night to be induced. They inserted a drug called Cervidil to start the process, and about a 1/2 later the contractions started to kick in at about every 5 minutes! I couldn't take it any more, so when I was dialated to a 3 they gave me an epidural (my best friend) and slept thru the night.

I had horrible back labor so I ended up getting more dosages in my IV so I could get comfortable. So after 15-1/2 hours (3 hours pushing) Jack just wasn't going to come down thru my pelvis. So they took me in for a C-section, and at 4:24 the most perfect baby showed up! My husband was a great coach and is a total hands on dad.

I was released on Friday at 1, but Jack had a slight case of jaundice and had to stay in a while longer under photolights to help him. He ended up getting out later that evening and I think I had a 1/2 hour sleep as my mind was racing to see what I needed to get done before my husband went to work the next day, and just checking in on the baby every chance I had.

He sleeps quiet a bit, with 3 hours in between for feedings and is not fussy at all. We couldn't have asked for a better baby! He's already been to the store and 3 restaurants and didn't say a peep!

I am so in love with him! So he was born on 4/6/2010 at 4:24 pm weighing in at 8 lbs 5 oz 19 inches long.

Jack is such a sweet little guy, i just can't get enough of him! He is such a good sleeper, he's already been to 4 restaurants, the grovery store, the dr's and tomorrow he is visiting my work office...not that he will know it, as usually he is asleep. :)

So far, I am feeling pretty good after the c-section, some tenderness yet, but not much..my mom is here helping me and is my taxi driver which is nice to have someone here throughout the day as the days can be long!

I have lost 20 pounds which is nice, I am slowly starting to see a difference in my feet...heck I can almost see them look like feet instead of cankles!

Jack update, He is still a great little mellow baby!

Dani update..woke up to my pj's being wet by my insicion (sp), stood up and just gushed out "crud"...trip to the ER at 6 a.m., have an infection was sent home with antibiotics and feels so much better! I complained on Friday that I had a burning feeling and it was just uncomfortable and they said it was part of the healing process....not so much.

I had to go back to the hospital to the wound care center today for my incision to be re-packed. Guess what I get ?!?!?!? Go ahead and guess! I get to wear a vaccum on my hip for about 10 days to get rid of the infection! Bet your jealous! lol. If they were to re-pack it, it could take months for the infection to go away, so this should clear things up in about 10 days or so...hopefully less. What a rough 2 weeks this has been! YUCK!

Ugg, that is just awful Dani! I am so sorry. My mom had to wear one of those vaccums for a month to clear up a infection after open heart surgery. I know how not fun it can be. I hope it does the job and you are feeling better soon! :flower4u:

Ok. This thing sucks. It is so bulky and it weighs about3-4 pounds and it just plain a pain in the a _ _. I can't wait for this to be over with!

Sleeping with it isn't too bad, however the thing makes noises like a coffee pot! I have to wear it 24/7 and be plugged into the wall at night to re-charge the battery!

Sorry to sound like I am complaining, but I really dislike this vaccum thingy! It is just so awkward to get around, this morning (I am thinking because Ididn't get enough sleep,) I just felt a little off..so I laid down with Jack and feel alot better, but I have a little pain (and I mean little) in my side...not even where the port is at, I Am sure its the vaccum doing its job, I hope that it can come off sooner than they think.

Jack is just a sweet baby, I can't say enough good things about my little man. I love it when we just sit/lay together and we just look into each others eyes...especially when I read to him, he just makes my heart melt...shoot i could cry now, he just is so loving.

Today was Jack's one month check up (where has the time gone?!), he is a healthy baby..his wieght is 9 lbs 15.6 ounces and the little guy grew 3 inches! I look at him everyday and see changes in him..I love this time with him knowing that he needs me. :)

Also today is my dr's appt, hopefully this darn vac pump will come off today, I feel great...except for having to lug this darn thing around! :)

Jack's dr visit went well, he is 9 lbs 15 oz, grew 3 inches! Next month he begins his rounds of vaccinations, I am going to have to make those Saturday appts so my husband can go, I know I will cry right along with him! He is in the 95% of everything so he is right on track.

He is eating almost 4 oz of formula at a feeding...the boy is always hungry! When he farts, I swear he lifts his leg!

He is so funny to watch when I lay him on the bed, he does these karate chop moves and his facial expressions just crack me up!

I am feeling pretty good, though I have an on and off again pain in my left side, however I think its my ovary (I have always had trouble with the darn thing), if it continues I will go back to the dr before my Monday's appt.

I went to the dr's yesterday because of the pain in my side..they said its the stitches on the inside they they knotted on the one side and that is the pain I am feeling. ( I sure hope they are right!)
