You might think, if you’re on a limited wedding planning budget, wedding favors…at least beautiful wedding favors that will impress your guests…aren’t something you can avail. If your budget is tight, coming up with the money to pay for wedding invitations might even be a bit of a stretch for you. But if you really use your imagination, you can still give meaningful and lovely wedding favors…all without “breaking the bank.”

One way to do this is to “create” your own wedding favors. “What? But that will take so much time!” You might say. Not really. You can start off with a modest investment in some simple wedding favor boxes or some other, varied containers, and then fill them with something less expensive than what you’d pay for “full-fledged” wedding favors. Maybe you could put chocolates or small pouches of ready-mix homemade cocoa, with powdered creamer, or some nice(er) chocolates like Lindt or even Hersey’s kisses. The point here is to be creative without overextending your selves.

Another great idea a friend of mine told me about was of a bride who loved gumball machines. After her fiancé proposed to her with the engagement ring in a gumball container, which dispensed after she put in her quarter, they later solicited ideas from guests on ways to make a marriage better or stronger, written on small strips of paper, and then placed in those little “acorn” type gum machine containers for future dispensing “as needed” by the couple when they felt a need for some uplifting words of council provided by family and friends. How cool is that?! :soppy:
