So does water make any of you want to puke? Like, not in a sense that you don't like it, but that it just doesn't set well in your stomach?

I have noticed that water is right up there with the worst when it comes to my stomach issues. Water could just as well be spaghetti sauce. This morning I woke up SO thirsty, so I drank some water. By the time I got to work, my stomach was so upset - and that was 2.5 hours ago and it still hurts.

Uggggghhh.

actually, i CAN'T drink water first thing in the morning... it always upsets my stomach... FH thinks i'm crazy but i swear if i drink like a full glass of water i'll feel a lil queezy... a sip or two (like enough to take a pill or something) is OK but any more n it gets upset....

Maybe you drank it too fast and got a stomach cramp?

Well, that would be the case except for the fact that it always happens when I drink water.

Skippy... what about on a full stomach?

Sometimes drinking warm water isn't pleasant to drink for me. But then there are times I have to force myself to drink water at all; not really that it makes me sick, just that I forget.

Often I will sit a bottle of water on my desk and barely drink half of it all day.

if i've had something to eat it USUALLY helps... but even still i can't drink A LOT of water at once...

i'm much like brandi... i often have to force myself to drink... both FH n my mom thinks it's so weird that i sit n eat all my meals w/no drink... i just don't have a desire for liquid it's weird...

but then there are sometimes when i get uber thirsty n just chug water down like 2-3 bottles... perhaps my body's way of catching up? idk i'm just weird i suppose

Me too; sometimes when I get hot or really thirsty I will crave water and other times I can go hours without much of anything to drink at all.

Really? I've never heard anything like this before. But I'm that person that can't walk half a block up the street without a water bottle on my person somewhere - or I start to freak out! I must always have water at all times or I constantly think I'm thirsty.

See, my problem is I'm always thirsty - my mouth is. But I drink and get a tummy ache. It's so frustrating! It's the absolute worst if I drink while I eat or within a few hours after I eat.

I think water is kind of an acquired taste, as silly as that sounds. When I was younger I hardly ever drank water and it kind of made me sick too. I started drinking it more often, and now that is pretty much all I ever drink. Now I absolutely love water.

I love water - up until about 2 months ago, I had water with me at all times. But then it got to where I feel sick when I drink it so I started mixing those crystal lights in it. :ooh:

Thanks jamt! I was thinking the same thing and got checked - twice in fact and both times I was in the low 80's. That made my boss and cube buddy oh so jealous LOL.

Justina,

if I fill my stomach too much with water, it pushes the acid up, causing my reflux to be worse and make me sick

so, yes, this happens to me as well

don't drink too much at a time, sips

So technically it's like mixing oil and water - the water sinks, acid goes up. Wierd but it totally makes sense - thanks!

exactly

and an empty stomach makes it way worse than if you have food

Yes, now that I am pregnant I cant even stomach water! I need a lemon in it.

Which is strange, cause I used to hate water with lemon.

This is the story of my life! Everyone I know makes fun of me because I drink so much water!

Maybe you should try a water filter of some sort to take any pollutants that might be still in it out. Water from our tap bad things happen to the stomach water through the filter doesn't do as bad.
