Amber's wedding will be at the Red Mountain Ranch Country Club (RMRCC) in Mesa Arizona. Her ceremony will be in the Red Mountain Room, and her reception will be in the Overlook Room, which has a stunning golf course view.

Everything looks so great and is very beautiful as well. I had the same unity candle holder and decorated it myself. I hot glued flowers around it to where you couldn't see the holder much itself. now it is placed in the china cabinet under lighting.

Flowers! This is a very close representation of what Amber's bouquet will look like. It will be cream daylilies, and sterling (lavender) and ivory roses some large, some sweetheart, minimal greens, with a touch of heather & a lilac stem wrap. She will also have a separate bouquet to toss.

Me and the grandmas (Jason's mother died, but he still has his grandma and his great-grandma, and Amber's grandmother, my mother) will have pin-on corsages with sweetheart sterling roses, charmed alstroemeria, & a touch of heather. We don't have any fathers or grandfathers in our family anymore, but Jason will have an ivory rose with heather & ivy, and his groomsmen will all have charmed alstroemeria, ivy, & a touch of heather.

The Ring Bearer will have a bout of ivory sweetheart rose with a touch of heather & ivy. The flower girl will have fresh lavender and ivory rose petals in her basket.

We will have fresh lavender and ivory rose petals for tables, the cake table, and the unity candle table. Also every table in the reception will have a hurricane candle with lavender and ivory rose petals and lavender bows will be tied around every hurricane lamp.

There will be fresh flowers to decorate the wedding cake - some daylilies, some roses, some charmed alstroe with a bit of greens.

Besides the decorated arch, we have lavender flower bow arrangements going down the aisle of the wedding.

Cake Serving Set

We just now bought the cake serving set. It is part of the whole Starlight Collection. We have the unity candles, flowergirl basket, ring bearer pillow, guest book & pen, and now the serving set. It will have their first names and the wedding date on it. We are going to tie lavender ribbons around each of the handles just to tie them even more into our scheme.

$1 Wedding Sale at Target... Ok, Amber & I went to Target and they were having a huge $1 wedding sale. So we stocked up on stuff for Amber's Bridal Shower. The colors were mother of pearl, pale blue, & silver. It will take several posts to get through it all but we did so well with everything.

We got some of these silver votive holders to put around the table. When they are lit, they will look so cute with their cut out LOVE design.

Karen's Wedding Flip Flops: I bought a pair of Candies black sequin flip flops to match my dress at the reception. I didn't notice this at the store, but they have one of those gradual color changes of the sequins on the straps. It starts out silver, then goes to dark gray, then to black.

Actual Memorial Candle... Ok, we have pictures of the actual memorial candle that we are using at the wedding to honor those who will be with us in spirit but not in body. We didn't want to have more than one candle, because we thought it might get a bit ridiculous having all these memorial candles in there. Amber is really going to have a wonderful wedding. I'm looking at all the pictures and thinking wow! She is very lucky to have a mother who plays such a huge role in her planning. Everything looks beautiful!

I know you will have a wonderful time at the hotel the night before. Its so fun to do things like that. Hopefully it will help you all de-stress before the big day!

Yes on Couples Resort website there is a message board...and they cover everything. It is so cool. I found out things I wouldn't even thought of...like to bring 2 bathing suits becasue it sucks to put on a wet bathing suit, or what rooms are the best (i.e. best view, less noisy etc.) the people the message boards have been to the resorts a few times so they are pros. They talk about the ride from the airport to the resort (2 hour bus ride) if we wouldn't have known that before hand it would be kind of a shock, you know? Another cool thing is they tell us what drinks are the best, what food is the best and a lot of them say to try out the nude beach becasue it is an amazing expierence. They also post pics of peoples recent trips and let me tell you...WOW...we are going to have an amazing time!! I have to admit my excitement level rises everytime I am on there. Really...it is amazing!

I cannot say enough--from the gorgeous grounds, the wonderful people we met, the fabulous food, the yummy drinks but especially to all the people working there! They do a tremendous amount of work and always make you feel right at home. I have never been to a resort quite like CSS or have experienced anything like this Couples family. I have been on this message board since January (mostly reading)and wondering if all these things could be true, but now speaking from experience, I can tell you everything you read on here is very accurate. I also read some negative things on tripadvisor before leaving and let me tell you--just don't even read those. Some people cannot be pleased no matter what. This could be the most wonderful place on earth! You can go to many beautiful places but the people are what makes the resort. We celebrated a 25th anniversary there and cannot imagine it being any more perfect. Now I am sad because I have no idea when we will be able to afford to go back. We have two kids in college right now, but as soon as we can financially afford to go--we will be back! Thanks to everyone who made this vacation so special for us.
