I hear you!! I work in a Fitness Facility and we keep it at 64 to keep the people cool for classes and when they are working out. I am always running around with sweatshirts and pants on. If I have to leave the facility then I immediatly have to begin shedding layers off!!!

My boss does that to us! He is alway hot, so he always cranks that a/c on. In the summer, we wear jackets and long sleeves in our office! In the winter, he may turn the heat on but it is still cold as our front lobby of our building is glass....and VERY cold! Hard to type when your hands are frozen!

Our new building our company just built and we moved into has vents EVERYWHERE... like every 12 feet in every direction. Needless to say there's one right above my head. UGH. I freeze anyway, then I have this blowing on my shoulders. I think we keep our thermostat at like, 66 or 67. I seriously have to use my fleece blanket in the summertime when it's 110* outside LOL.

And I tend to fall asleep when I'm cold - so that doesn't help me at all.

LOL I am so cold I went to the bathroom to wash my hand in warm water to heat them up. I'm now going to make some hot chocolate!

On the flip side:

We are at 115 for the high today. YIPPEE. My boss can't seem to realize it takes more electricity to cool off a building everyday than to leave it running at night. So we come in and it is already 87 in here, and it takes all day to cool it off!

My co-worker and I bring our own fans in to try and stay cool. Last week my boss volunteered to give my fan to someone else! So I told her, "Just remember, when I get hot, I get a headache and get b****y.

She bought me a new fan that night.

YAY! I'm glad somebody said it. Why is AC so freaking cold!?!?!? DH insists it be on - but now I walk around the house in the summertime with a sweatshirt on and hide under numerous blankets when I'm trying to sleep. GRRRRR :irked:

How ironic! You guys are layering clothes on when all I wanna do is take em off!

LOL I just went out to rummage through my car - it hopes to find a sweatshirt or fleece. Thankfully I had one!

We don't have AC in the UK. If we want to cool down we put a fan on or open a window.

It has been so hot at work the past two days i thought i was going through the Menopause. :bbeek:

LOL! Same at our house! But, I get cold pretty easily so I just let it go - also.. the FH is pretty darn furry.. All I do is snuggle up to him for 10 minutes or so at bedtime, and I get plenty of warmth :bbeek:

Nope. The UK never gets hot enough to warrant the expence of putting it in. Every room has a desk fan that blows hot and cold air.

Top of the range Hotels have it but nowhere near as much as the US have AC in buildings.

I go into a head fit when walking through the chiller aisles in the supermarkets. Now those things do blast some cold air.

I must be the quickest shopper this side of the Atlantic to pick up Milk, Cheese, Bacon and Yoghurts then sprint to the checkout.

There's no AC at the university, I guess they figure their priorities should be in the heat bills. We don't have AC in our apartment, we've been keeping the windows wide open at night. And I wake up in the morning shivering. Oh, Buffalo... what a weird summer.

LOL...my DH isn't furry, but he loves his cold air. It's funny, because when he lived alone he didn't even have AC. I did, and never used it. Now that he's moved in here my utility bills have jumped dramatically. I think he's trying to make up for lost time...:)

I had to ask them to turn my vent down above me as I was too cold....I'm always cold and it was just too much so they were able to turn it down a bit.....is this an option Danielle?

Glad they were able to make it more bearable for you! I get so cold in my office that I use a space heater all year round. It can be 90 degrees outside and I'll have the heater running. I closed all the vents in here too but it still gets freezing. All the guys I work with make fun of me but I don't care. I'd rather look stupid than be cold!! LOL

Glad you got yours fixed - my hands are freezing and we don't have hot water in our bathrooms :irked: so I just put on a sweater and typing with cold hands stinks LOL.

Most of us have a space heater in our offices. Yeah, it is too cold at work, no matter what season it is.

We're not allowed space heaters - someone snuck one in one time and it caught fire to the cube it was in and the surrounding 3 cubes :bbeek:

Yes, it's cold yet again today :ooh:
