Okay for those who have taken provera how long after you take the pill does it take to get your period, and how long does it last? My appointment with the RE is Aug 14th. Hopefully she will give me provera then to start my period. I'm on CD 107 still no af. But I am worried I will have AF for Sept 6 my anniversary. Man will that suck I have had a period in 4 months what are the chances I will have in then?? :bbcry:

well you take provera for 10 days, this fakes a rise in progesterone just as if you ovulated, you should, i believe, start your period within a week of taking the last pill. This is one area where I actually lucked out, both times I took it I started 2 days after the last pill. So say I took the last pill on a thursday, then friday no pill, I would start saturday morning. But I have read it taking longer so it really depends on your body.

Danielle! That's such a no-win. I can't help it - I sort of laughed - isn't this just the way these things always go?!?

I'm rooting for AF, but I hope she stays the heck away for your anniversary! :panda:

I started AF the same day as my last Provera pill...Unfortunately it was 3 months since I had a period, so I ended up with 7 days of bleeding (only 2 heavy though)...

I actually got it on my own on Sunday. It's not as heavy as I would have thought for not have it for 3 1/2 months. So we should be good to go by Sept 6 ;)
