Has anyone ever had them? Or even if not, what are the symptoms? I'm starting to think I've got them. Ever since the wedding night, I've had this strange pain in my back... I thought it was strange that I'd get sore there when all the pressure that night was on my legs. I had stomach aches galore, but I think that that had to do with the junk food we ate on the trip because they've gone now. Then the couple of nights after we got back, I felt like I was getting the flu or something strange... I worried it was my gall bladder...

Anyway, I've woken up at 6:20 now with relentless pain in the middle of my lower back. It hasn't gotten worse, but it hasn't gotten better. If I had insurance, I'd be telling Eddie to call in right now just so I could get a check up... but I don't. So I'm really not sure what to do. It's not immobilizing, and it seems to get better when I sit... but it was enough to wake up a person who loves sleep at 6:30am... Blah.

If it gets much worse, I'm gonna have to go in. Sadly enough, all I can think about is Joey on Friends and the doctor saying, "It's kidney stones!" in the weird voice.

I don't know much about them. I have heard they are extremely painful, but not sure if the symptoms would be completely in your back. If the pain is in the middle of your back it probably isn't kidney stones.

Here's what I found on them:

My dad had them and the pain was in his gut, not his back or legs.

I was just talking to my mom who had them, and she also said kidney stones cause constant, very bad pain. So now I'm wondering if it's gall stones. I've wondered if I had them in the past, but then I started trying out this remedy for them that one of my sister's doctor professors recommeded, and the pain left. My mom was saying gall stones can come and go when it comes to pain, which is what this has been. Grrr, I wish I had insurance...
