On July 2, I had my first Bridal Shower. It's now been over a week and I haven't started my Thank You notes. The reason? I haven't a clue how to do them!! Help please :bbconfused: I've written thank you notes before, but somehow just can't figure out how to do these. Writing "Thank you for the toaster. We'll use it happily" doesn't seem right to me. Neither does "Thanks for the cash we need it", lol.

Any advice or does anyone know where I can find out how to write these things?

Mine were all pretty simple. It was something like this:

Dear Mrs. Smith,
Thank you so much for attending my bridal shower. It ws so nice to see you again. I really apprecaite the toaster over. It is something that Sean and I will definately use! I look forward to seeing you at the wedding. All my best, Lacey

Thanks, I can start there. What about people I'd never met before the shower? (FMIL's friends).

You've already been a big help. I was just blanking on how to do them for some reason.

Instead of "It was so nice to see you again" try, "It was nice to finally get to meet you. I'm looking forward to seeing you again at the wedding."

Thanks!

Now what about for cash and gift cards?

Same deal

Dear Mrs. Smith,
Thank you for attending my bridal shower. It was wonderful to see you again. Your monetary gift (or gift card) was so generous. We will be using it to purchase (fill in possible item here). I can't wait to see you at the wedding.

Thanks!

Last one... people who didn't attend, but who sent gifts anyway (including people I never met and who have already told us they can't make the wedding)?

See it does get trickier.

Again, you've been a great help and I've gotten more info from you than I have from anywhere else. You're the best!

Dear Aunt Sue,
I am so sorry you coulddn't make it to my shower. I missed having you there. But, it was so thoughtful of you to send us the (fill in gift.) Dan and I will get a lot of use from it (or mention what you are going to do with the money/gift cert.). I hope that you are going ot be able to make it to our wedding. I am looking forward to seeing you there. Blah, blah, blah, Becki.

Have I said Thank you to you enough. How about:

Thank you for all your help. It is really great of you to go out of your way to help me and all of your help will be put to good use in during the upcoming week while I write my Thank Yous.
Thanks again,
Becki

As long as you personalize it and keep it simple, you can't go wrong!!! If I am the person that is receiving the thank you, I am more excited that they actually sent one because I rarely get a thank you back. Don't stress over it too much. Just write them and get them out.

I agree, I have been to a couple weddings and they didn't even bother to send out thank-you cards to anyone! It's the thought that counts.:)

P.s. Lacey, You are so sweet and helpful to everyone!:D
