I grew my hair out for the wedding. All along, I've been planning on cutting it short after the wedding was over. I have very fine hair, so when it gets long, it just looks scraggily (probably not a word, but that seems to define it well).

So Monday night I took the plunge. I got about 8" cut off, and went back to a darker color (closer to my natural color). The cut was good, but was a little long, so I went back this morning to get another inch or so taken off (so that it wouldn't hit my shoulders and do a "flip out" thing). I think I like it, though it'll take some getting used to.

DH says he likes it, though he would never tell me if he didn't.

It's a drastic change, so I know people can notice that it's different. But so far I haven't gotten more than "it looks nice." Some people haven't even said that - there reaction has been "oh wow, I would never go that short" or "I would never want my girlfriend/wife to go that short." Now I'm worried that it doesn't look good. Maybe I'm overreacting, I don't know.

Anyway, tonight I'll post pictures. I want you all to PROMISE me that you'll give me your HONEST opinions! You don't really know me (in person), so I'm hoping you'll all be able to be brutally honest! I mean, if you can't expect someone you don't know to be honest with you, who CAN you count on?! :bblol::gurn:

I just realized.. it's actually a lot like yours (or at least that's what I was going for). The problem is that because my hair's so fine and thin, the bangs look kinda strange on me. I had her do a heavier bang by taking it back farther on my head, but it still doesn't seem like enough.

Thanks for the support tho :)

It does take some getting use to doesn't it. haha I cut off 15 inches after my wedding and I'm still not 100% sure if I like it or not. ;)

I can't figure out how to get the pics from my phone to my comp!

I don't have a cord...

On my old phone, I could type in my email in the "send to" box from my phone and they would get there. But I tried it with this one and it didn't work (I tried twice!)

Hopefully I can find my digital camera and cords soon to take one! (We haven't unpacked half our boxes yet!)

I styled it different today so there's a lot more volume.

Looks good! It must be so much easier to take care of.

I did the same thing... grew out my hair for the wedding, and I was instantly going to cut it, but I paid $110 for highlights in my long hair, so I wanna leave it for a little while. But I am somewhat envious of your short hair, hehe. :)

Way cute! I had mine just a little longer than that two years ago and grew it out for the wedding... and it took so darn long to grow that, as much as I want to chop it off, I feel obligated to keep it! I envy you and your awesome haircut! :)

Lol, thanks everyone.

I think I always hate my hair because it's so thin and fine that even the hairstylists can get body to stay for more than an hour! I'm getting used to it though, and it's really easy to deal with. I'm hoping that after it grows out a little bit I can go back and get it shaped a little better (with more layers).
