September Wedding

I'm getting married in September and it's an evening ceremony. I am having a hard time trying to figure out what color to use for my bridesmaid dresses. Any ideas?

Well what colors are you partial to? Summer, Winter, Fall or Spring colors? Dark or light or pastel?

I would start with colors you like. Then, if you want to be traditional, look up evening wedding traditions. I believe that they're supposed to be more formal in the evening, so darker colors would probably be more traditional. But it is your wedding...you don't have to be traditional.

My wedding is also in September, and also in the evening. I was worried about the colours too, but ultimately I decided on colours that conveyed the mood I wanted. I really want my wedding to be whimsical, soft and pretty, so my bridesmaids are wearing dusty rose pink long skirts, and white tops (they choose what top suits best for them) with a ribbon of dusty rose pink on the waist. My Junior Bridesemaid is all in dusty rose pink, and my flower girls are all in white. Think about words that maybe describe what type of wedding you want and work from there.

My wedding is in September of next year. I am planning on burgandy and gold but with a little ivory here and there. My bridesmaid are going to wear burgandy dresses and the maid and matron will wear light gold, the flowergirl will have on a burgandy & cream dress. That is my plan for now.......I have a lot of time. Good Luck.

It seems like we are doing our favorite colors. I love light purple, he loves turquoise! I think that it will be beautiful. We're having an August wedding, but this time of year is generally pretty warm here in Texas, so it will be a summer wedding anytime between May and November.

Favorite colors are so simple, and you'll be happy with the way it all looks.

i totally agree. Stick with wot colours you like... that way you will have a colour scheme that you will enjoy, wether it's traditional or not. i'm also having an eve wedding (4,5 months to go!) and my colours are white, silver and burgandy. bridesmaids in burgandy and slightly formal for evening. remember that the style of your wedding will help dictate wot style and colour your dresses should be. i also think dreamer's idea is good, think about how you would describe your wedding and work from there... keep us posted :)

I am planning a late September wedding with the reception in the evening too. I am going to use burgundy for the MOH dress.(I don't have any BM's) I am going to do a fall theme so I wanted to use fall colors. I have tons of pictures if you are interested.
