Ugh. I woke up this morning crampy and cranky. :irked: But I had a lot of things to do, so I got in my car, that had been making funky noises before I left for Florida but had seemed to have stopped making funky noises...but, of course, it resumed it's funky noise ways. So I got DH to follow me to the dealership. On the way, it made an array of new noises, a bunch of dashlight lights lit up, and I was freaking OUT, unsure if I would even get there! I took the backroads, so I wouldn't break down on a main street, but I did get there. As I'm rounding the corner into their driveway, all the lights on the dash went off and the noises stopped. And they wouldn't start again so the dealer people are looking at me like I'm insane. So they're holding onto it to see if they can find out what's wrong with the car...Egad...
Meanwhile, I mentioned in Private Thoughts that DH's grandmother is really ill and it sounds like she might not make it, so DH is planning to go to Iowa to see her. At first he said he'd go alone, but this morning he asked if I'd go with him to "hold his hand" and I couldn't refuse that, of course. So I'm most likely going to Iowa on Saturday, coming back Tuesday and then leaving on Thursday to go to Virginia until the following Monday.
It's going to be a long week...

You poor woman! When does Gwen get to stay home and relax? I am glad you are going with DH, I am sure you are a great hand-holder!
I sure hope that DH has a chance to visit with his grandma, and they have the best visit.

I will be thinking about you guys!

Ok, new plan. But with the new plan comes better news. Apparently DH's grandmother seems to be stable now so he's going to go by himself to Iowa on Wednesday and stay through her birthday, and I'm just going to go to Virginia on Thursday. I'm really happy things are looking up. :) I'm also happy I don't have to do so much travel. Obviously, I would have without complaint, but I'm pretty relieved I only have to visit 1 time zone in the upcoming week instead of going back and forth around the country.
