It started on the day I went with the girls to get their BM dresses. Which followed by Victoria's Secret shopping and Hooters for dinner. We were checking out at VS and I got a sharp pain in my lower back and ever since then there has not been a day that goes by that my back hasn't hurt! It starts off about half way through the day(sometimes 1-2 hours after waking up) with an ache, then it gets worst and worst until I can barely stand and it is sooo painful I have to take a half a pain pill. I don't know what is wrong and I don't want to have to take pain pills on the day of my wedding. I don't have the money to go and get x-rays or a massage at that. Does anyone have a story relivant to mine? Any help?

Well, I'm not sure what it is, but I can tell you my story.

My back pain started hurting a few years ago (probably 3). I remember standing up from a squat and feeling a sharp pain. Throughout that day, it became increasingly harder to stand up all the way (like my back would lock). It was painful too.

Through an Xray and eventually an MRI, they found out that I had mild scoliosis, sciatica, and arthritis.

The sharp pain could be either sciatica or arthritis.

Sciatica (sp?) is when your sciatic nerve gets pinched - for me it feels like a pinch in my butt cheek, with shooting pains down my leg on that side after I've been standing for a minute or two.

Arthritis is degereration of cartilidge. For me, all of the cartilidge on my bottom disc is gone, which makes it quite painful (because there is bone against bone).

If it's either of these things, there is no pill to cure it. All there is is exercise, massage/chiropractic care (which I don't recommend the latter), or surgery.

But it could be something totally different! This is just my story.
