So everyone's happy it's Friday (well, almost everyone).

Usually Friday has a bunch of downtime for us office folk - cuz no one likes to be motivated on Friday for anything but rushing home.

So, why is the board the slowest on Friday versus Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday?

I'm not sure why that is. I do remember one Friday when it was pretty busy... or so I thought. I think it's just because during that time, I almost always slept during the day, even if I didn't work that night... so it seemed like the daytime was much busier than when I was used to being online. But anyway... I really can't wait until I can get a "normal" job with Monday to Friday, daytime hours. Then again, most libraries are open on Saturdays and some are open on Sundays, so I'll probably work some weekends.

Anywho, for me, today is a cleaning day, and I need to get started soon. Fun times!

I work 9 hrs M-Th, with a 4-hour Friday. So usually Fridays are my busiest day trying to get stuff cleaned off my desk for the weekend! I'm outta here in 20 minutes! :)

Our Fridays consist of being required to work - same as normal. Our work load doesn't shift at all because we don't do Customer Service in my department. However, not much gets done on Fridays I can assure you that. Well, actually I'm kickin butt on this VW Database today... but I can't say the same for all the chatterboxes around me :)

Oddly enough, most of my Fridays have been spent doing the chores for the wedding! :P

My job is contract and at home work, so I can be here there and everywhere as long as it gets done. But Fridays are wedding planning days.

I am painting water color leaves for the place labels. We realized we'd have to assign seating due to the iron curtains of divorce.

I've personally been so busy today at work that I'm just now getting on OW and it's 12:45!

I think a lot of people have every other Friday off and they're all probably out enjoying the summer weather! (I wish I was!)

I'm definitely less active on weekends because I'm not forced to sit in front of a computer for 9 hours of my day!

So happy it's Friday! We weren't that busy today. I think a lot of our customers take long weekends with their families, or take short days. Afternoons are usually the worst, and this one was no different.

FH left at 6:15, and I made myself a breakfast of chopped, fried beets (tastier than it sounds, trust me) and worked until about 9.

After justifying procrastination by looking at the weather forecast and seeing that there were to be storms at two (but at nine it was sunny) I did one of my "Huh, I'll bike this road until I get bored of it and see where it goes". Seven and a half miles, three towns later... I didn't realize how close together the first ring suburbs around Buffalo are.

I picked up a gift card for a friend's housewarming at a Home Depot that just happened to be on the way. And returned some batteries too.

So that's about fifteen miles of biking (as it was necessary to you know, go home) and I got back at noon. I then showered, napped, and I'm trying to light a fire under my butt and get some of my paid work done but instead I'm doing wedding planning stuff.

Bikes are the best exercise ever. Well, OK, I don't know if that's true, but that and walking is the only exercise I can get myself consistently to do. Half for practical reasons, and the other half because once you're strong enough to go fast, it's so much fun! :)

Yes! Criminal Justice. I have a Lt. for an instructor so he doesn't cut corners at all... so I have to be very thorough. I'm on page 9 now and running out of stuff to put in :irked:

Matt and I have been talking about getting bikes for the past 2 years. I think we're going to do it this winter... we HAVE to get out dangit! Plus, we're close enough to the 'cuts' that we can ride to the middle of nowhere to ride so we don't have to ride in town.

I spent the morning moving my car from one repair shop to another - the first was trying to charge me a billion dollars more for the same part. Then DH and I had lunch together and went to a store to buy paint. Then to the gas station, and then into the arms of a traffic jam. :irked: Tried to find a detour home - succesfully, but DH didn't like my alternate route - but we got home. :)

i don't work yet, so i can't complain much...but chasing kids, running errands, getting little or lite sleep etc, definitely wears you out :winktongue:

as for today, i took the boys swimming, fh replaced his fuel pump and filter...he was going to do some sheetrock/stud work for our friends getting married as a partial wedding gift, but he had a long day, plus has to work tomorrow so he's putting it off till saturday...our friends FBIL tore out a part of their garage that was leaking(an off-room with a skylight), and he left it partially exposed to the elements, and threw a tarp on it:bbeek:...but, knowing their garage will flood etc, and they def don't have the money, fh said the "labor of love" is the best gift ;) what a dork! but, he's right:snide:

And Sunday I have to go to Reno cuz a friend from Idaho will be there and I want to see her. Then when I get home I have homework :irked:

Trust me your stuff will be treated with kid glove by those guys. Nothing will be broken at least on that end. I moved about 6 times with miliary movers, if you are nice to them they place your stuff in the truck instead of tossing it.

Good to know! They are very nice and have been here since about 9 AM this morning. So far, it's going smoothly and pretty quickly for packing up a 1,100 sq ft apartment that we weren't allowed to pack besides the items we're taking in our checked baggage on the plane.

I have an hour left of work...this day flew by! I've been organizing my co-worker's file cabinet all morning since he's out of the office. I have to use it too and he literally just puts everything in one big pile rather than using hanging file folders and its so hard to find anything in it. But its all organized now...its taken me almost 2 years to get to it!

I think we might go out on the town one of these nights this weekend. I haven't really gotten to "party" for a long time so DH wants one last party night in case I get pregnant this cycle. I am so lame though, I'll probably have one drink and be ready to go home to bed. I am also going to talk to DH and see if he wants to go skiing this weekend. I know I do!

Yeah, we've already had a warranty we wanted to keep out packed away because I forgot to move it off the counter. But we'll just mail it back to the states once we get our shipment. We'd have to pay them to unpack every box until they found it, and that just ain't happening! :blink:

DH had ACL reconstruction surgery today. :( But I get to help him and hang out with him all weekend. I do have to go shopping for a bit tomorrow, for a new bra and groceries, not at the same store, lol.

DH and I have been trying to go out to eat on Friday's kind of a date night. We went and tried a new local pizza place; well it is not new, but we had never been there before today ... it was pretty good.

Then we went by the grocery store; while we were there we got a call that our fire alarm had gone off at the house! So we freak for a minute; DH leaves me at the store while he ran home to check on the house and the dogs ... as soon as he left I was like "why did he leave me here" ... luckily it was a false alarm and all was well, but we sure had our excitement for the night!

Tonight we went out to dinner with our friends who just got back from Hawaii. They brought their 3 kids (4, 2 and 9 months old) and it was a nice time but exhausting. Then we came home and our friends from out of town came over to visit. I'll be attending their baby shower tomorrow afternoon. DH went out for awhile with his friend and I'm really hoping he comes home soon because I'm so tired and I can't sleep well when he isn't here so I'm trying to stay awake, but its really hard.

I have had my BBQ for a while and I still haven't used it. I asked Matt 2 days ago to hook up the gas for me so I can use it and he hasn't done it yet. :irked: Maybe I'll get to grill tomorrow when my dad and friends are over! I think I'll go cheap - drumsticks and thighs in bbq sauce. Mmmm that sounds so good hehe!

I had spring break last week...so its really hard getting back in the swing of things again. My new school doesn't have breaks which I like. Its so easy to get lazy.

My next test is on the 16th. We'll see if my new "plan" will work! What classes are you taking?

I'm taking Basic Mathematics - which covers EVERYTHING: fractions, geometry, algebra, stat, units, blah blah blah. It just barely touches on everything so it's not too hard it's just annoying.

And I'm taking Intro to Security. I'll be done on my birthday (25th)!! Still considering going on and getting my BA, but I don't think I can afford that, especially now :doh:

Pretty much doc wants me to lose the food baby. :laugh2: He said lose weight, but not drastically. Also stop eating acidic, fatty, or spicy foods. :( He said if it doesn't go away, it might have something to do with my gallbladder.. Which would be BAD. My grandma and two aunts have had diseased gallbladders. o.o; He also said i could get kidney stones or ulcers if it gets worse and not taken care of. D:

i worked at the radio station today we had a bunch of kids in today. We treated the moms to a limo ride to brunch and then to get mani pedis and baby sat their kids.. well fed them candy and had a poor clown make countless balloon animals for them. I did get told that i was beautiful by a 6 year old though. his exact words were "you're beautiful miss amanda, but youre crazy." ha ha ha ha ha he said i was crazy cause my hair was everywhere lol!!!!!
