We like this cake because it fits Amber's Victorian lilac theme perfectly, and because it's the most beautiful cake we have ever seen. :D

Here is ours. It was white with black embellishments so it fit our black and white wedding. I took the scoll design from traditional henna patterns taht Middle Eastern brides paint on their hands before their wedding.

THis was our cake. It had sheeths of Wheat on the sides. And for some reason someone took the top layer off when we did the cutting. I'm not sure who and or why, but they did. that is the only picture I have of our cake.
:( Silly me for not having or making sure some one took a picture of it!

Boo :( I hate threads like these....I don't have a picture of what my cake is going to look like, so y'all are going to have to wait for another 83 days before getting a picture! (actually probably longer because I need to go on my honeymoon first! LOL!) But since I don't have a picture of exactly what I want, I'll just kind of explain it.

We are going to have something similar to a cupcake cake....but instead of cupcakes we are having minature pumpkin pies. We are also going to have a few full size pumpkin cheesecakes for folks to eat as well as a slab cake for the folks to have to have cake and don't like pies. But generally, the cake will look like a cupcake cake but with pumpkin pies on it instead.

This is the topper we are using. If I buy it online we can have it made w blond hair for me, and dark brown for J, and make the dress ivory, but I just realized that it is nearly dbl the price for the topper w the stand, so I am not sure if we will is that either. I'm in the same boat as katie. Don't have a picture of my cake to post. We found our cake in a picture at the bakery.
It's a white cake with strawberry filling. It will be done in an ivory icing, 3 tiers. Each tier has little bunches of leaves around it. Then there will be a few candles in some of the leaf piles.

I tried to snap pictures while we were cleaning up after it was made. It is home made. I wanted this style with roses draped down the side but due to the heat the icing would not hold up the cakes (even with the posts).

I'm still trying to find the pic of what I'm having. It's a 4 tier in white, with pearl's sparatically placed. Mickey and Minnie are at the top, with some ribbons flowing downwards. Very simple, but I don't wanna take away too much from my topper, as I love it, and I want a little emphasis the disney aspect.
I won't be finding it on the net, because my Mom's making it, and the design is in her head.

We ordered our cake a few weeks ago... here is what we are getting...

we are using the square shaped cake like this, with ribbon like this picture has, except it is in hot pink...

And we are using beach decorations kinda like this, except the starfish and shells will be leaning on the layers at the bottom of the layers.. if that makes since, they won't all just be in the middle of the layers... hmm that sounds confusing haha... they will be little chocholates, and they will be "painted" orange and pink and yellow

They are rose petals. We took a couple whole buds and put them on the tops and then just scattered some loose petals around..

That cake is SO unique - I just love the chocolate drizzle, and the contrast of the chocolate on white is so amazing. I have to look into getting a similar one, except I think I'd like all the levels to be tiered. Where did you get it? I can't believe you got it for cheap! How many people did it feed? We have a little chapel here and marries people 24 hours (like Vegas) and they guy that runs it has lots of people that work for him and do things really cheap. The nice thing is you don't have to use his services to order from his employees. It fed about 200 people.
That cake is SO unique - I just love the chocolate drizzle, and the contrast of the chocolate on white is so amazing. I have to look into getting a similar one, except I think I'd like all the levels to be tiered. Where did you get it? I can't believe you got it for cheap! How many people did it feed? Please let me know! Thanks!

We had two, one out in Innsbruck which was typical of the style used out there and it tasted gorgeous, it was made by the House Sach�r which is quite a famous chocolate house in Europe. Secondly we had the one at our reception back home, which we were really pleased with!

I love the yellow on this one, but if you want yellow flowers, I wouldn't put that with yellow icing. Beautiful though!

I think it's adorable! I really love the whole stacked boxes look. We're having a big Italian wedding so our cake has to be pretty tall to feed all those people...LOL

Thanks!! Our wedding planner surprised us and did the cake table decoration like that. She just used red and black ribbons and made a lattice pattern. It looked so good in person.

Thank you so much! We used Publix, a local grocery store. It's not the fancy expensive fondant icing, just buttercream with marble cake. But it was delicious! And it matched our theme and colors and we used our little "H" monogram that we got on ebay. We designed the look of it ourselves and just told the Publix bakery what we wanted and it came out perfect.

They only charged us $20 extra to come and assemble in at our reception site, too!

Look on Craigslist thats where I found mine. Her cakes are soooo yummy and she was willing to customize it however we wanted (Each layer is a different filling) Starting at the top: Raspberry bavarian, strawberry, chocolate bavarian and vanilla bavarian. And she has 10 years experience making cakes in a bakery. What a steal!!

I didn't make them. One of the girls that works at the hospital did them for me. I keep telling her that she needs to go into business. She did a wonderful job!!! And they were good enough to eat thru the screen.

The darker looks very olive green to me. Are you going with various shades of green? If so, the dark green would work. If not, I'd go with the lighter color. IMHO.
