thanks guys!! I just hope this one sticks around. I am a little sad that I will eventually have to go back to my ob's office. Not that I didn't like them, I just really like the people at my RE's office. Just the way you get treated at an RE office is much different than at any other Dr's office.
I also need to switch to prenatel vitamins, I don't do well with regular vitamins, if I don't eat alot before taking them I get nauseous and have even thrown up. When I was preg before the prenatels were 10 times worse than regular vitamins.... Any suggestions?

I take mine right before bed. I actually keep them next to my bed and take them right as I am laying down (or have already laid down lol). Taking them after brushing my teeth was fine, but I forgot sometimes so I switched to by the bed.

I have a very sensitive stomach when it comes to vitamins. I recommend Rainbow Light Prenatals... I take them from time to time (I'm very inconsistent) and they don't upset my stomach at all - whether it's empty or full! They're a bit pricey, but they're worth it to me :lafhard:

Most vitamins upset my stomach but I take New Chapter Organics Perfect Prenatals and I've never felt nauseous because of them even if I take on an empty stomach! The only thing I don't like is trying to remember to take 3 pills a day.

well beta number 2 is today!!! I am so nervous.
On the vitamin front, RE office called in a prescription, I said I would give it a try since I don't do well with vitamins, my regular multi-vitamin frequently make me nauseous, and even throw up sometimes. SO far so good. Thankfully I went from taking 4 pills (baby aspirin, vitamin, 2 extra folic acid) to just 2 (baby aspirin and prenatel).
hopefully i can get first u/s this week... to see how many are in there !!

well hcg was 2,439 and progesterone was 96. In 4 days it went from 316 to 2439.. Now I am thinking there is more than one, or it could be a molar pregnancy (I pray not). The nurse said those were excellent numbers. I have another beta test a week from today, hopefully we can do u/s next week as well.

the prenatels are going well. My RE wants all of his patenients to take baby asprin because it helps with circulation to the ovaries and uterus, as well as everywhere else. I have read that it can also help prevent miscarriage. I figured he would have me stop once I got pregnant, but I keep taking it until I go back to my ob at 10-12 weeks.

I don't go back to my ob until 10 - 12 weeks.. I go back to RE Monday for more bloodwork. I am guessing he is holding off on u/s until I am far enough along that you can see a heartbeat. Numbers are indicating everything is going well so no need to look yet i guess.

Pregnancy brain is setting in. A few days ago I almost put DH cell phone in the fridge. Last night I was looking in the wrong cabinet for a cup, we have lived here 3 years and the cups have always been in the same place. I have been forgetting meeting times at work and constantly have to check my outlook calendar.
I have been irritable. And worse I get hungry and nothing sounds good, just the thought of some things make me want to barf. I have not thrown up but I do feel sick to my stomach, mostly from smells. Our breakroom at work always smells like popcorn, and while microwaving my lunch yesterday i could not stand the smell of the popcorn.

well this morning is beta number 3. I have NOT been feeling well. I havent actually thrown up yet but I feel pretty darn close. I don't know if it is morning sickness or stomach virus because 4 people at work have had a stomach virus. Although I usually feel better after eating but I have to force myself to eat the food.

hcg was 28,252
progesterone dropped alot though. A week ago it was 96, today it was 77.
The nurse said it changes during the day, it is more of a pulseing hormone than a stay the same one. And she said 20 is normal and I am still way above that.
Ultrasound is thursday morning.. ahh this is where things went terribly wrong last time so lets not have a repeat.

ok now I have time for the full story.. sorry if this is long.
So we goto the RE office yesterday morning and i'm nervous because last time this is where things ended. The nurse weighed me, it was only 108 meaning I have lost 3 lbs since Jan 1!! Aren't I supposed to gain weight! They take us back to the nice u/s room not the normal follicle scan one. The nurse asks about symtoms and of course I have all 3 she brought up, breast tenderness, tiredness, nausea. The RE comes in and he asks about the nausea, like when and how often. I was like off and on throughout the day probably the last 4 or 5 days.
So he gets everything "ready" and I am not really looking at the screen because Im scared too. First thing he says is "Well I see why you have been so nausea, right then I knew what he meant. Then he goes yup there are 2 sacs, 2 fetal poles, 2 heartbeats. So I finally look over at the screen. :hearts: One was 96 bpm and the other 100 bpm and they were both measuring right one time. Baby A is a little bigger than baby B.
Then he sees a third "sac" thing. He doesn't think it is a third because the sac wasn't round, was small and completely empty. So it could have been a third that didn't make it, or just fluid who knows.
Now the bad part.. He looks at my ovaries which are HUGE!! Partly from making progesterone. He said they will get smaller around 10 - 12 weeks. That explains my pain on the 2 sides. And unfortunately my left ovary has a giant left over follicle. The darn thing took up the whole screen. He said that will eventually go away too. He doesn't think it is overstimulation from the meds thankfully. But I do have to take it easy, so physical activity.
I go back in 3 weeks!

ugh.. who ever came up with the name morning sickness should be shot.. Its more like sick all day every day.... and night. I mean the last week I had felt nauseous here and there but wow yesterday it was like someone flipped a switch and I was sick all day and I still don't feel good. RE gave me a list of things to try to help but i tried like most of them yesterday.. nothing helped except crackers and thats only while I am eating them...
we went out for valentines day last night. First the dress I had planned on wearing was a little tight in the boob area... I still wore it but that was a mistake. We went to the melting pot (a fondue place). We had these reservations since before i knew I was pregnant. Mistake number 2. It was hot and way too many smells. Needless to say I couldn't even eat my salad or the cheese fondue appetizer. I started crying, because i felt so bad for DH and i felt so sick. We canceled our dinner and the waitress gave me a free sprite.
I can't wait for 2nd trimester!!!!

Yeah my RE suggested eating cracker... which works wonders WHILE i am eating them. As soon as I am not eating I feel sick again. I am very very very thirsty and water makes me feel sick, sprite is better but it makes me burp.. i can't win.. But sickness means things are going well in there so I can't complain too much.

I like the sea bands. I don't know if they work for others but they seem to help me. I can't really stand anything with ginger in it but that is supposed to help. I bought some ginger chews but I'm scared to try them. LOL I bought some ginger gum that was made by the same company that makes the sea bands and they were so nasty! They made me want to puke more than the morning sickness did. So I'm scared to try the chews. Hopefully you can find something that will give you a little relief!

I couldn't sleep last night because I was so sick and I actually threw up, well I would have had anything actually been in there... it was more of dry heaves.. yuck. The motion sickness bracelets were on the list my dr gave me but I can't find them anywhere.

i don't think the vitamins are helping any but i didn't take it for the last 2 days and today is by for been the worst day. I was leaving work early anyways because I have a dentist appointment later for a crown on one of my molars(not sure how that is going to go). I really don't want to push the appointment back because I already have once due to a work thing and the tooth does kinda hurt.
So I left work a little earlier, dr. called me in some Phenergan so I went to pick it up and also found some of the bracelets. Then I threw up in the car while driving down my street (thankfully I had the bag from the pharmacy), threw up some more in the garage and finally made it to the bathroom. I pray the medicine works. I would hate to have to get admitted to the hospital for fluids because i can't eat or drink much of anything.

I took Zofran for my nausea and it did wonders. It was just a dissolvable tablet I put under my tongue. It didn't taste great, but it helped me a lot. I didn't feel any side effects from it.
At least the phenogren worked for the nausea, even if it caused other discomforts. It's so important you stay hydrated and are able to eat something!

I have a bad feeling I am going to end up in the hospital. we almost went to the er last night. I am having a hard time eating and drinking. I think I am dehydrated. I am having a hard time concentrating and just want to lay down all day. I am probably going to have to tell work alot sooner than I had planned just to be on the safe side, I would hate to pass out or something at work and no one knows.

Just wondering, Is it the medication making you feel this way or dehydration???? You might want to go to the doctor to get checked out either way. Maybe your body would respond better to the medication if you weren't dehydrated.
Either way, I hope you feel better soon!!!

Oh wow, I really hope you feel better soon. If you think you are dehydrated you should probably go in and get some fluids. Sorry that this pregnancy is so tough on you!

i am ok now. well for now.. I forced myself to drink 3 bottles of gatoraide this morning, spread out over a couple hours of course. I felt better and better after each one. I also ate more today which made me not be as nauseous. I normally don't eat or drink much and now I have to whether or not I want too and its hard to get used too.
I'm glad you're feeling better now Sarah!!!! Way to go with the Gatorade!

morning sickness is for the birds!! this is no fun at all. The mornings are really bad, with the afternoon being ok and night being bad as well.

Ugh! Still no relief? I feel ok in the mornings and bad all afternoon and evening but I don't think I'm feeling nowhere near as bad as you are feeling!

i mean on the upside I know morning (all day) sickness is good because it is a good sign that all is well in there. On the other hand I can't wait until like 13-14 weeks when it goes away. I am not one who deals well with nausea though. Eating helps ALOT but I can't eat 20 times a day hehe.

well I am kind of worried... Morning sickness went away on thursday and hasn't been back. It is way to early for it to just stop... :-(

Are you still taking the medicine? Maybe the medicine is just kicking in?

Don't worry, Sarah! My m/s came and went just as suddenly. I think I stopped feeling nauseous around 9 weeks. You may just be over the hump!

Mine came and went like that all the time, and it made me worry every time too. Do you still have all your other symptoms? Just remember that some ladies are lucky and their morning sickness goes earlier than expected- maybe you're one of the lucky ones!

oh gosh no. I couldn't take that stuff. It made me feel worse than the m/s did.
I still have all of my other symtoms though. tired, sore boobs, getting dizzy. Ugh if I would have never had a m/c I wouldn't be so nervous.

You are probably just one of the lucky few whose morning sickness has eased off. I wouldnt worry about it too much. I didnt get morning sickness until around 12 weeks, and then I only had it for a few days. I did feel nauseous if I didnt eat small meals throughout the day though. At around 12 weeks the placenta is supposed to take over most of the hormones and you should be feeling much better. As long as you still have other symptoms I would not worry too much.
There was a day when my nausea and most of my other pregnancy symptoms vanished overnight, I woke up and started my day and all of a sudden I freaked out because I felt better than I had in weeks, so I called my doctor. The nurse told me NOT to freak out because your going to have GOOD days, and then your going to have BAD days, she said just be happy when you feel good.
Anyways I am sure everything is going just fine with your little one.

Ugh if I would have never had a m/c I wouldn't be so nervous.
Unfortunately, that is totally normal in pregnancy after a loss. By the time I was 12 weeks along this time, I had had 4 scans to check things out- EVERYTHING made me panic. If I had a cramp, I was in tears. If I went through the day and didn't feel sick, I was in tears. I poked my boobs every morning to make sure they still hurt- if they hurt slightly less than the day before, I was in tears.
My point, apart from telling the world what I crazy woman I was during those first 12 weeks, is that being nervous about this stuff is totally normal, and you are definitely not alone. Try to relax and just trust that everything is going to be ok. If you can't, and you are still worried, then go see your Dr and get your HCG levels checked, or have a viability scan- whatever it takes to set your mind at ease.

I think i was just having a few good days. Yesterday I was sick but not nearly as bad as before. Ive already thrown up this morning but feel ok now. I have a u/s on thursday so we will see then.
At this point checking hcg is not going to be much help, it is probably extremely high since there are 2 of them.
I just really hope on thursday they are both still there and doing well.

When I feel good, I get really worried also. I can completely understand how it'd freak you out to feel fine after feeling so awful up until that point.
I was reading a book last night and it said that the placenta can start taking over as early as 7-8 weeks...so maybe your hormones are tapering off while the placentas take over. Glad that you are still feeling symptoms though. I hate for you to feel bad but at the same time I know it gives you more confidence that things are going ok.

Sarah out of curiosity are you now seeing your ob/gyn or still the RE?
I am still seeing the RE. He will release me back to my ob/gyn at 10 - 12 weeks. My appointment thursday will be 1 day shy of 9 weeks so I am guessing only one more RE appointment. Which kind of makes me sad. Not that I don't like my ob/gyn, just my RE and everyone at the office are great. They really go out of their way to make me feel like they are there for me. I am thinking about sending them a thank you card once I go back to my ob/gyn. They are right down the hall from each other so I still get to go to the same location.
The m/s has come back. I haven't felt to great today. I can't complain too much though as I have a friend who is 11 weeks and she is having an evaluation on friday and thinks they might admit her to the hospital because she has lost 18 lbs due to m/s. yikes.
I am just praying everything is good on Thursday!!

I can understand why you'd miss your RE office after everything they've done for you and all you've gone through with them and how great they've been with you. But I'm happy you are gonna be done with them for a good reason!! I really hope everything goes well on Thursday when you get to see your babies! Man, that would be so exciting to see 2 babies on an ultrasound.
