Out of 115 people invited, we have 44 no's. I can't help but be disappointed. Nobody has a good reason. And almost all of them originally told me that they were coming and then changed their minds.

I know that the day isn't about who comes, but I'm really disappointed that soo many people declined. I feel like we wasted soo much money on extra bubbles, programs, invites, favors, etc...

And if I knew that they weren't going to come in the beginning, we would have invited other people. We didn't invite any cousins because we're paying for it ourselves. Now it's too late.

I'm sure I'll get over it but I'm pretty bummed right now. :(

I'm sorry! I know it's disappointing when people can't come. :( It'll still be a fabulous day!

We invited 80+ and had about 45 show up. So I know how you feel. But for me I didn't even have enough time to talk to everyone that was there. I just don't know how people manage any real conversations with over 100 people.

It's OK to be upset, but I'm sure you'll have a great day either way.

I'm so sorry to hear that,BellhurstBride. My fiance has already prepared me for the invites and the declines we'll have. He said to expect about half of the people you invite not to show up.

That sucks hun! But you'll still have a great day and be married!! :)

I'd resell the bubbles and people can just change any ribbons etc to match their colors.

That stinks! I'm sure it will work out for the best! Just enjoy the people that WANT to be there. When you walk down the aisle with your new husband and look right and left at the people BEAMING at you, the people who didn't attend will be a long lost thought. :)

I've heard from a ton of people that half of their invites didn't show up. So at least don't feel bad because you think it's uncommon ;)

Aww, I feel for you. We invited either 112 or 120, can't remember, and had about 78 come. Unfortunately, most of the no-shows were on my side, so almost my entire half of the chapel was empty looking and it was kind of pathetic. And I, too, was bummed, because a lot of these people didn't have a good reason, if they gave any reason at all. It IS frustrating...but you can't let it get you down! Even with my empty pews and irritation at some lamers, I had a beautiful wedding, I felt loved and special, and I enjoyed the whole thing. You will too, I promise!

Thanks girls! I'm feeling better now. I think I just needed to vent and cry about it for an hour or two... haha. I know we will have an awesome day no matter what! :grinhappy:
