OH MY WORD! So I was at Target and saw these and just had to buy two! I wanted to buy one for each table at the reception but they were $10 a piece and we have 24 tables haha so that would be been around $240 and we can't afford that. So for now We have two for the head table and I might go back for two more if they still have them and if we have the money for them and put them at the dessert bar.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!

I just found out a few exciting things

First off, all of my classes next semester are Tuesday Thursday classes, so I am free to work all day MWF, which is a huge blessing. Matthew also has all of his classes except one on Tuesday/Thursday, so he will be able to work a lot too.

ALSO!! THE BIG NEWS! A friend I haven't seen in 12 years Will be coming to my wedding :) Our dad's were in the Army together and my dad retired and we moved away. We'll we have kept in contact this whole time, but haven't been able to see each other. Well she told me today that she can come. I am REALLY excited!

So when I went to my parents house this weekend I got a few things and got some pictures!

First off we found someone (FINALLY) who will do our flowers. We were having trouble because its the same weekend as mothers day. They are going my bouquet, the bridesmaids (6 including the jr. bride), the groomsmen (6 including the jr. groomsman)... all for $120 plus tax :) We are really excited because the first place we stopped at wanted $100 for just mine. The people we are going to go through do theirs pretty cheap because they are really pushing to get their names out there because they are wanting to expand so they can offer everything from wedding dresses to flowers, to tuxes, to catering.

So flowers are taken care of :) The only thing is we gave them a lot of freedom as to what they can do. We basically told them the flowers and he thought though a design right then and wrote it down and we okay'd it. I will be so nervous to not see them until the day of the wedding! But for that price and since we are running out of money, I'm sure they will do just fine.

I got a really exciting surprise last night :)

We were tryign to get all of the bridesmaids and groomsmen that are at my college together for a get together. Well it didn't really work out as planned, but everyone came at some point or another except one, so it was okay. Well my roommates (who are 3 of my bridesmaids) handed me a card at the end of the evening when a few people were still there, and I was like awe that's sweet

Well after reading the card I looked at the little card inside of the card, and the Bridal party had went in together and got Matthew and I two (hour long) dance lessions! How fun is that?? I was soooo excited! It is going to be a TON of fun, and on top of that we will learn some super cool moves for the reception hehe

The shower was so much fun! We played a game where my bridesmaids had asked Matthew 20 questions and I had to try to answer them right, and the game was that they read the question and before I answered it the people there wrote down if they thought I would get it right or not, then whoever guessed the most of if I would get it right or not won lol

Then we did the classic "make a wedding dress out of TP" Very fun (see the pics below) We also had cake and punch. And of course the gifts! I accidentally left the list of gifts that I got in Matthew and I's apartment (I am in my college apt. right now)

Because I am a nerd, I have separated out all of table decorations, I have put them into little bags, each table gets two bags, one of each kind haha one bag has 10 sand dollars and 50 tiny starfish (believe me they are TINY I am kinda upset at how small they are, but whatever lol) and the other bag has 40 colorful flowers and 10 little umbrellas. These things will be scattered on the tables.

So it was a ton of fun, I got a ton of fun gifts, I will write them tomorrow when I have the list with me, but lets just say I got THREE gridles (sp?) and when I looked at the registry, none of them had taken it off the list lol

I also got two can openers (the same one because its the one we registered for... and it wasn't taken off the list haha)

We also got 2 of the same mixers and a stand up mixer that has a detachable mixer thing. The first 2 were from the list... and no not taken off the registry lol so I took them off when I got home so I wouldn't get more lol
So we will take 2 of the gridles and 1 can opener and the 2 basic mixers back and keep the stand up mixer that detaches.

hehe but my gifts were all great, I'll share more of those later.

We played three games. The first one is they wrote down ingredients and directions to make a marriage work. Then I had to guess who wrote them. Then they wrote down either their wedding date or their birthday and I had to guess who wrote what! I was hard lol

THEN my favorite game was each person had two pieces of paper, and on one sheet wrote a problem that could arise, and on the other sheet wrote the solution. Then my aunt mixed them all up, and read outloud a problem someone wrote, and then a solution, but they were mixed up so the things didn't match, so it would be like Suddenly Matthew is really sick and gets the flu, and then she would read a solution and it said, tell Matt to go outside and get take out.
So it was fun because some of them were really funny :)

Well we learned 3 different swing moves and the basic motion... well and one of the moves is a 3 move sequence, so we kind of learned 5 moves. Then we are going to work on that again this coming up Wed. and then also we are going to take a recording of our first dance song and shes going to teach us a few slower moves lol more like a waltzy (totally not a word, and if it were that wouldn't be how you would spell it haha).

soooo including this weeked and not the wedding weekend, only 3 weeks left being a Miss!!

erg so I have to call my travel agent today. See when we booked our resort we booked the Gran Bahia Principe Akulmal OR Tulum. They have another area of the resort called coba (they are all connected, but they are just different I guess I dk how to explain it. Kind of like we were booked to this huge resort that is like a college campus, We wanted to be in either the dining all or the first dorm...) Well they are trying to put is in the 2nd dorm (back to my figure of speech lol) They have us in Coba. Well I only found this out because I e-mailed the resort to find out if we were in Akulmal or Tulum.

To find out were weren't on either side. We don't want to be in coba because it is a little farther from the ocean. You have to take a small tram to get to the ocean!! The others you are RIGHT ON the ocean, and that is what we paid for... erg

SO I e-mailed my travel agent last monday and he said he would be in contact with them. Well he hasn't gotten back with me yet....

The travel agent is all clear, like I checked him out with the BBB and I checked our airlines tickets and they have our reservations and such, but I'm just upset because its not in the side of the resort we were told. So I am def. trying to get it changed

We got them off of ebay. The lady makes the order as they come in, so you could probably request whatever you want. They were like $22 or something

So today is the day, if my travel agent does not contact me back I am going to be contacting the resort again myself. I'm getting frustrated. I mean I know we have a spot ON the resort, its just not the area I want (which btw, makes a huge difference in how close we are to the ocean). I just want what I paid for :(

BUT on a better note, only 15 days!!!!!

Also we are having Dish Network installed today so that when we get back it will already be up and running and we won't have to worry about it. I'm excited because we are getting the DVR with it :)

My fiancee has tried multiple times of contacting you regarding the trip we booked through you a couple of months ago and has now left it to me to contact you. We booked a stay at either Akumal or Tulum for May 13-May 20, 2007 with you over the phone and paid with my credit card. When we were informed that we were booked at Coba we attempted to get the situation resolved by contacting the resort, but had no luck. We figured since you had received your money that you would do whatever it took to get our request to stay in Akumal or Tulum, but from as far as we both know you have yet to resolve the issue. If when we arrive we are unable to stay in Akumal or Tulum it will be a very large disappointment to our honeymoon and you can be assured that we will seek another method for booking our next vacation as a result of the disappointment. I'm sorry to sound so demanding but after spending a substantial amount of money on a trip, I want to have the dream honeymoon that we both have imagined. We were told that Coba is more of the party side of the resort and because that is not what my fiancee and I are about we would appreciate your help in doing whatever it takes to make our move possible. I was like I DON'T CARE! lol So he said he would contact us back today...

OH! Also I hate the weather channel :( The first thoughts about my wedding day weather is 60% chance of scattered showers! boo! But I guess one of my bridesmaids said this morning it only said 30% and yesterday the day before said 10% chance and now says 60% of showers. So I think that I am going to try to not freak out unless it says that still like on Wed. I have a feeling is it going to keep changing.

BUT if it does rain, I mean all my stuff is inside and such, but still :( I don't want people walking like through a wall of rain to get inside the church or the reception hall.

PLUS one of my fears since we have been having a late spring is that there will be like tornados the day of my wedding. I would hate to have like tornado watch/warnings the day of the wedding! I guess that is what I get for having my wedding in the mid-west in May...

ahh yes only 7 days! This time next week, I will be finishing up at the hair place and getting ready to head to the church (I hope anyways, I'm worried because there are like 8 of us, and only 3 girls scheduled to do hair and our appt starts at 9.... I'm going to talk to them about that at my trial tuesday!)

oh! We bought our sand yesterday. We are doing the regular unity candle thing, but at the rehersal when he says this is when you will do the unity candle, we are actually going to do the sand ceremony and then display it at the reception.

I'm in the process of getting ready for my cousin's wedding that starts at 2:00 today :)
