What to wear....

DH is going to be in one of his friend's weddings. So, he's going to be all decked out in a tux and the whole shebang. I have no freaking clue as to what to wear. It's a beach wedding, it's next month, and I've met these people and hung out with them maybe twice?

I don't want to look like a complete dweeb standing next to DH in a casual dress while he's in a tux, so kind of semi-formal, but not formal. I kind of suck at this whole dress stuff, so opinions are most welcome. :)

I really liked this dress that I found online. It's jersey(so it can breathe on the beach), not super formal but not overly casual....and they don't have my size. :( But to give you an idea of where I'm trying to go with this.....maybe something like this? I've looked for 2 days and haven't found anything.

That dress sort of reminds me...Banana Republic sometimes has some cute jersey dresses that could stand the test of a formal occasion. But that's all I can think of! DH and I don't get to a lot of black tie occasions! :winktongue:

I'm not sure how much your looking to spend, but Victoria Secret has lots of cute dresses. I just searched jersey dresses on their site, here's a few:

You could also try debshops.com, DEB is a store we have here kind of like a Rainbow, or 5-7-9 I dont know if you know of those. But the have LOTS of dresses from prom to sundresses and usually really cheap. Good Luck!

annnd if I remember correctly, there arent many that are over $30. There are like over 200 dresses on the website though that you can pick through.

Thanks everyone. I'll have to search through some of the suggestions. :)

Although I did e-mail the online store with the dress, and a girl wrote back saying they restock on Fridays, so to check back. Although she did say they never really know what is going to be restocked. Arrrrrgh. Anyways, I'm crossing my fingers that they decide to restock the dress, because it comes in a dark teal color that looks awesome, but that was sold out in every size. lol

If it's not there on Friday....the search will continue.

i found some really sexy jersey ones on "newport news" last night....they actually have bridesmaids dresses now! and MOB!

i didn't post any pics here, but they have alot of dresses, including one, that has a "what to wear to a _____wedding" and it has like, city style, black tie, island, beach and country club options, and shows you different shoe/dress/purse combos for whatever the occassion and the location is!

You know, i looked on the Newport News website.. They have some REALLY cute things!! Waaaaay too expensive, but its cute!

I say try Target. Or even Meijer. I just got an adorable outfit from there. :)
