View Full Version : How far is the drive from the ceremony to the reception?

My drive is about 20 minutes but its a very short 20 minutes if you know what I mean... It totals about 10 miles.

How about you? I'm curious to see how far people are.

I have seen a lot of people in my area (Washington D.C.) who have an hour drive from the ceremony to the reception :bbeek:

Our reception was 30-45 minutes away from our ceremony site.

Ours was a 20 - 30 min drive from the ceramony to the reception

People in this area will have a ceremony in D.C. and travel an hour or more to the reception out by the blue ridge mountains in cute bed and breakfasts. I'm glad that we could find something more convienient.

Ours is about 20 miles, and 10 minutes. Its pretty much all highway there. Its just in a "suburb" of my hometown.

Ours was about an hour. You'll find that most people won't come to the ceremony in those cases, they just go to the reception. Which was fine by me.

Amber's wedding and reception are both being held in the Red Mountain Ranch Country Club, in Mesa, Arizona, just different rooms. :)

Our ceremony and reception location are at the same place! No drive at all!

Personally, I don't think there ought to be more than a 30 minute drive between ceremony and reception locations.

I think we measured it at about 7 miles apart... but there's a couple of loopty-loo's... we put his sisters cell # on the maps in case people get lost.

Ours is just about 20 minutes - give or take a few! :)
