Just got back from the Doctors, I'm a Type II Diabetic, I have high cholesterol, and a Vitamin D deficiency. I went from taking 1 medicine to 3 with multi Vitamins and Vitamin D thrown in for fun.
Doctor said I guess your not exercising (from original visit back in May) I told him that after I left his office I started walking 3 miles a day, gave up my sweet tea and anything with sugar, and started eating healthier. He actually smiled.
I'm going to control this crud it will not control me. I teased Mom and Dad and said there can be no doubt that I am their daughter and not adopted since they have given me all their lousy genes.
Oh yeah I have to stick myself twice a day and keep track of my blood sugar. Oh Joy!

You can show your doctor your 30 days in pictures - you have proof you've been walking! :)
You've got the right attitude - you control it!

My mother found out she's a Diabetic, has high blood pressure and high cholesterol 3 days after my wedding. Since then she has lost 40lbs and no longer has to test everyday. She started walking everyday and is now up to a mile a day. Of course she also changed her diet. There's hope yet. :) Good luck.

I know loads of people with Diabetes. Some control with diet alone. Some with tablets. Some have a jabbing kit with them at all times.
They all lead great lives. Nothing stops them from doing the things they did before they were diagnosed. Some even have better lives knowing that there is something wrong. And not a figment of their imaginations. They say it was the not knowing before hand that made life hell.
Gwens right, show the Doc the pictures. And tell Him that even friends in the UK know You have been walking. :winktongue:
Wow that's a lot to chew on right now, huh?
That stinks... and the fact that your doc seems to not believe you is rediculous.

Stinks that you have to deal with all that, but glad you have a good attitude about it and are making changes to better your health! Good for you! Maybe soon you can get off some of the meds :)

I'm already feeling better. Guess I didn't know I was feeling bad. My blood sugar (finger prick test) started out at 196 ( I know it's really high) Tonight when I took it I got 146! Yeah the medicine is already working. Should be between 80 and 130. Took RC's tonight just to check. 90. He is just too smug right now.
I do occasional blood sugar testing and I hate it. :snide: Once you get the diabetes under control and reverse the symptoms you'll be able to reduce the testing. I'm so glad to see that your numbers are already stabilizing!
