View Full Version : How early do symptoms start?
Just wondering, what's the soonest that pregnancy symptoms can be felt? I mean, not necessarily identified, but how soon after intercourse can signs appear? Such as cramps and other side effects?

I'm clueless... party of one! on this one. I didn't know I was pregnant until they told me 8 weeks into it. Although I was super-tired and hungry/nautious quite a bit. I thought I was reading too much into it! I have no idea when those symptoms started, but it was probably at the 4 week mark...

Why Justina? Did you go and get yourself knocked up early and now I'm going to be the only one left in the September club?! ;)
I've got my eye on you!

With my first I would say I had zero symptoms until I was about 5 weeks. Then it all hit me at once.
This time around I swear it wasn't even a week after conception and I was hungry ALL the time. I also noticed I had been having a harder time handling warmer weather. I had some cramping what would have ended up being about a week and a half after ovulation. Then around 6 weeks I started with the actually feeling sick and such.

LOL! I don't know, but if I am knocked up I wouldn't be very far along ;)
And you wouldn't be the ONLY one left in the September club. Jacklynn is in the September club as well :D
Now that we have child care worked out, we've decided we're not going to be very careful from here on out. Not officially TTC but.... (He wouldn't agree to officially TTC right now), but I'M TTC

I have heard for some they can start as soon as conception. But the norm is usually 6 weeks. And some never get them at all. I have no real world experience to share though.
It came to mind because I've been having cramps today, like AF cramps. But AF just ended about 9 days ago. I took an HPT and got a bfn of course... but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Cramping could be implantation!!!

Alright, well now that brings my hopes up. I don't even know if I O regularly. I should be finding this stuff out so I'll know come September if it doesn't happen before then.
It sure is annoying, whatever it is!

I have baby on the brain - and have for weeks. It's just about all I think about.. baby baby baby. I even have the crib picked out that I want to get once I get that room in order. :innocent:

I'm with you on this! I started charting 2.5 months ago for that very reason, and I'm pretty sure I finally O'd this cycle! woohoo!
If this isn't a BFP, I'd recommend getting yourself a BBT thermometer and starting your charting come next cycle!

Thank you Danielle :flower:
Gwen, I definitely saw last week as a trial run, even before I had my suspicions. I LOVED IT! I am just looking forward to doing it with MY OWN kids and not 2 other families worth of kids. :)

Do any of you use Fertility Friend (http://www.fertilityfriend.com)to chart? I've just started to use it and it makes charting much easier IMO.

I use Fertility Friend and I love it, although, my free VIP membership trial expired and I don't have all the cool perks anymore. Maybe I'll subscribe to it once I'm really TTC.

I'm on fertility friend too. I find it awesome and LOVE the member features and would strongly support a decision to purchase it when you all are actively TTC :)
none until missed period with all 3 pregnancies
So I've had cramps the past 2 days. They're annoying. *sigh*

Probably for the better...:) How far are we from knowing if something's brewing in there Justina? Do we have days or weeks before you'll know?

Soooo long! I'd be so antsy...! :chimp:
LOL.... I'm trying not to be - I just don't want to be disappointed if I get my hopes up. I'm going to take it one day at a time. It was tough though... camping without even having one beer. I was one of the few sober ones there.. but it was still a blast :)

That's when I'm "planning" to officially TTC, but I'm pretty sure and very hopeful that it happens before then :)

I am hopeful... I'm only taking prenatals and not being careful. I'm not charting or anything like that, although I should be. I guess I'm just hoping that it's easy enough for me that I don't have to chart. It's irresponsible on my part I guess.... but come September, I'll be officially charting and all that stuff if I'm not preggers by then :innocent:
You better let us know when you get your BFP!!!!!!!! Because if ya'll aren't being careful, it's bound to happen :winktongue:
