View Full Version : A new couch!!!????!!!!!???!!!
So I've been watching CL for a sectional. We have a set of HUGE off white couches that just don't fit in our tiny living room, so I want a corner sectional with 2 recliners.
Well, finally, after months, today I found a sectional in the pattern and color scheme that I want. I'm hoping it's not as deep as my current set (still waiting for the lady to email me back with the measurement). But if it's not as deep as the ones I have... I will be driving an hour to pick up this beauty. It ties in the gray that I want for my living room with the tan in the walls and tile. I'm so psyched!
BEST part? It's ONLY $50!!!!! Keep your fingers crossed for me! I'll take before and after pics when/if I get it! I may be getting my hopes up for nothing but I'm hoping not LOL.

Ooh, very nifty! Craigs list can have very cool things on it (like our two cats). I hope you are able to get it!

Hope You get it. That sofa looks sooooo comfy. :)
Thanks! I'm scheduled to go pick it up today. Now I'm trying to sell the ones I have already because I don't have room for the sectional and the set I have. I'm so happy it's got recliners. Matt likes to lay on the couch and hog at least one of the couches (usually the big one). Now with a recliner or two he can't hog the whole couch WOOHOOOO!
Oh OH!!! I got it!!!! I sold my couch set yesterday at 3:30 for $100, then went and picked up the sectional for $50!!! I want to clean it with a shampooer... anyone have any ideas how to do that? I will research it a bit but I've never done it before. It's got hair on it (cat or dog), and it's kinda old, but it's sturdy and the recliners work YAY!

Good for you! I used the attachment and hose on my carpet cleaner to steam clean my old set and it worked great! I have a simple Hoover steam vac, but I couldn't believe how good my furniture looked after cleaning it.
If you have to rent a steam cleaner, you would use the smaller upholstry version of the nozzles that come with it and the proper solutions that they sell to clean the upholstry. Be sure to vacuum the hair off before you steam clean though as it isn't as good at picking up the hair and when it does, you end up with icky wet gooey hair in your dirty water.
Thank you Kelly! My cousin has a shampooer, I wonder if I can convince her to come visit me for a day :D
Oh, and I have pics of it on my camera, but I can't get them onto this computer. Tonight maybe :)

Yay!!! I'm glad you got it! :)
Here's the pics of it right after we moved it in... Check out all that room I have between the door on the left and the couch! Our old couch used to be about 3' longer!
