View Full Version : Candy Bar Favor Tag?

For our favor we're doing a candy bar. I attached a pic of my inspiration. FH built the structure and now I have to find fabric or something to make the awning.

We're using just celephane bags with silver twist ties and I was going to do tags but now I'm not sure whether I should do them or not. My sister said that people like to have something with your names and date on it but I'm not sure about that. I'd have to put the tags on the twist ties ahead of time and then is that a pain, will they fall off as people are trying to fasten them. I'm sure I'm thinking about this WAY too much...What does everyone else thinK?

we did a candy bar too, and we did not put a tag on the outside of the bag. We had a little card inside the bag with a poem, and then it had our names on that.

Many people did not use the twist ties that we placed witht he bag, because many of them were snacking on it as they were alking around. You could stamp your initials or dates on them.... however I do not have much luck stamping on celephane.

I don't think that people will mind if your names are not on it. With the candy buffet, most peopel are going to eat their candy pretty soon after they take it off of the table.

You could print on clear labels and put those one the bags. But I doubt that anyone one will question it if you don't.

You know, I think the names is a personal touch that guests may or may not look at. If you want to do it, and have time, I'd say go for it. If not, I don't really think its going to be noticed.

BTW - your inspiration pic is awesome, I can't wait to see the final result!

I like the idea of putting a little card in or something stuck to the bag. I'm also making fan programs that will have our names, date, etc on it so I feel like that might cover the sentiment part. At this point everything is a matter of how much time I have. But, help is on the way in the form of out of town friends and relatives so you never know.

FH is done with the candy bar but I have to find fabric and make the awning thing. I'll post pics for sure.
