which means time to redecorate!

We are moving to a new apt on Aug 1st and we want the new place to have an entirely different feel. I was going through our honeymoon photos and found a couple I want to use as inspiration for our redecorating. I will post the inspiration photos when I get home (for some reason I don't have them on my facebook - strange!) and you all can help me figure out how to pull this off!

Anyway, here is my vision:

The first photo is a night shot of the Eiffel Tower. The tower is lit in bright blue, and there are soft yellows/whites reflecting off the water. I want to use this as the centerpiece to a really romantic living room. My furniture is dark brown, so I'm thinking a color scheme of bright blue, brown, and black? Maybe with white and light yellow accents. I wish I could find some sort of blue damask to use for pillows or curtains. Any ideas ladies?

The kitchen is going to be a Parisian bistro/cafe theme. I'm thinking red, black, and yellow as the color scheme. We need to buy a new table so really any furniture style would work.

Any ideas?!

No real ideas, but I like where you're going with it! Can't wait to see what you come up with! :)

Sounds awesome. I have NO eye for decorating. I wish I did! You'll have to post pics when you are done!

Haha, thanks ladies! I meant to post the photos when I got home yesterday, but we went to disneyland instead and didn't get home until late! I'll have to post them when I get home tonight.

Danielle, I don't have photos of the new space yet... I'm not sure that I will get any, unless I can sneak into the place while the workers are refinishing it! I'll keep you all posted on my ideas as they come!

Some pics I googled for the living room...Also, you could even get a damask stencil and use fabric paint to put the design on plain curtains or pillows, etc. Much like people put their monograms on the aisle runners, and it would make it alot easier to match colors that way..just a thought.

just ran across these and had to add them..they are listed for $88 a piece at wshome.com :petrified: But maybe a good DIY project ??

Congrats on moving! I love your ideas! Matt and I want to have blue/black/gray/brown for our living room eventually, so I can relate :)
