I'm glad your appointment went well! My sister used to wrap like a thick ace bandage around her belly and said that helped - maybe that's what you just got. I don't know if she DIY'd hers or if she actually got a belly support :blink:

so I woke up last night with some pretty intense contractions, but again they stopped. I then woke up this morning feeling so crummy that DH went to work and didnt take me to get my Glucose test. I feel nauseous and am still having some small cramps. I wonder if Katie is getting ready to come. Fingers crossed.
James said he will take me to get the glucose test tomorrow morning. As for today I have one errand, I have to go get the money order to pay rent, then the rest of my day is going to be spent on the couch sleeping. Oh I feel yucky today, plus i have a headache. Ugh!

It has been one heck of a roller coaster these past couple of weeks! It's a good thing you're keeping this journal - you'll have proof to show Katie when she gets older that you really did go through a lot of pain and suffering to bring her here! And it'll also show her how much you wanted her and were so excited to have her. :soppy:

so not only is tomorrow a full moon, but it is also a BLUE moon, apparently this is very very rare. That would be soooooo cool if Katie comes tomorrow.

That would be soooooo awesome. I think its time for DH to come home from work and do the DEED. I am also debating on getting my breast pump out to start simulating my nipples, apparently that produces hormones to start contractions. What else is there for me to do, I really wanna meet Katie, I have gotten sooooooo impatient. Come on out Katie, mommy and daddy really wanna meet you, and so do all your Onewed aunties.

My MIL says the best way to make a baby come is to scrub the floor on your hands and knees. LOL She said it worked for her.

SIL did lots of walking! She held the baby in long enough to go to our wedding and the next day she walked a couple of miles and the baby was here the day after that!

So I went to take my glucose test today, when i got there the tech asked me if I was fasting, I told him NO, the doctor told me I could eat some scrambled eggs and bacon. He said he couldnt give me the test then because its a fasting test. So now I have to go back on Monday to take this dreaded test.

It is just not meant to be! Hopefully Katie comes out over the weekend and you can skip the test altogether!

My thoughts exactly. Why does it matter if I take the stupid test. Watch I will probably go on monday to take the test and then she will make her appearance that night or the next day. But, who knows, tonight is a FULL MOON and a BLUE moon at that. Maybe I will get lucky.

Well ladies, I am 38 weeks today, and it looks like Katie decided she wanted to be a 2010 baby. Still hanging in there and waiting. I went for a little walk under the FULL and BLUE moon last night but that didnt seem to do anything. :(
We did go to walmart and buy me a exercise ball. Apparently in the United Kingdom they are called Birthing Balls, and they use them to bounce on and do other exercises to help move baby down. Since Katie is already so low down I figured if I bounce on the ball, it might be like going for a very bumpy ride in the car. LoL. Anyways, I am going to give Katie a few more days before I serve her with a eviction notice. LoL, hopefully she comes out to meet her mommy and daddy soon.

My dad is a New Years Baby. He hates his birthday, cause his words "you would either get presents for your birthday or Christmas, but never both". so I make a effort to make a big deal about his birthday, mom takes care of Christmas.

Hopefully little miss Katie will show up soon. But, it sounds like she is practicing her strong willed child skills.

I'm a January Baby.

My Mum went into Hospital on January 1st to have me. I wouldn't budge.

She went down for a C-Section on January 4th. Then returned to the ward with me still inside.

I finally made my "Ta-Daaa" grand entrance on January 7th. ;)

We used to joke that it was snowing outside. And that it was warm and cosy inside. :rofl:

Katie will arrive when ready. Either way she'll be a Capricorn and we are the best. ;)

UPDATE:
So I am waiting for the doctor to come and break my bag of water. And hopefully that will get things going. I am 5cm dilated, but contractions have started to slow down again, so may have to have a little pitocin, but we will wait and see what the doctor says.

well they checked my cervix again and I am stuck at 5cm. What is it with my body that causes the contractions to stop doing their job? So, guess what I am getting. Pitocin. They started me on the pitocin about 20 minutes ago. So I will try and keep everyone updated.
