View Full Version : Already having to utilize our warranty....
So next paycheck, we're calling up the warranty company. The dishwasher does not work, and now the water standing in the bottom of the d/w is STINKING. So I took one of the racks out and now am doing dishes on the counter.
Not to mention, our disposal doesn't work so that gets stuff in it and stinks too. I'm going to report the disposal and the d/w and have them fix/replace them.

There is nothing worse than the smell of stagnant water. (Well, apart from "Wet Dog" lol)
There's no room for a Dishwasher where We live (At the moment that is, hope to move hehe) And very few Houses in the UK have Waste Disposals. But when You have these labour saving devices. It's a pain in the rear when they go wrong.
I have got a Dishwasher really.
But He's at work at the moment
Hope You get them fixed soon. The sound of water running away will be music to Your ears.

I really don't mind washing the dishes by hand, but the problem is my sink is only a single sink with a teensy one for the disposal. I don't have room to wash them properly. Not to mention - I don't have the counter space to be doing this all the time. I don't mind even taking the disposal out, but if they'll fix it for me then why not LOL.

We have a $60 co pay, but that's a heck of a lot cheaper than a new dishwasher!!!! And yes, it does stink... literally :)

Sorry you are having troubles but -Thank goodness for home warranties! My dishwasher wouldn't fill with water recently and when I called in the problem, they sent out a repairman who found that there was no electricity getting to dishwasher. I called the warranty company and they then sent out an electrician. He found the switch was bad, but there still wasn't any water to the dishwasher. Called the warranty company again and they resent the first technician out to fix it again. Finally! We have success!! 3 service calls later- I was frustrated that it took that many calls to get it fixed, but the whole thing only cost me $60 (one service call fee) so I couldn't complain too much! Without the warranty I would have spent at least $200 on the repair.

Our 'co-pay' is the service call fee - basically it's the fee to have them drive to my house. I'm alright with it, as long as it's something that doesn't cost less than $60 to fix. Sorta like - I REALLY hope I get a NEW dishwasher and disposal. I don't really wanna try to 'fix' the POS's that are in there lol.
