Destination Wedding

Hello all,

we are planning on having a destination wedding (St.Lucia), and I have no idea where to start. There are so many to choose from. Is there anyone out there that has had a destination wedding, that can give me a guideline to go by :D ?

Hi Tiab,

I am also planning a destination wedding (in Riviera Maya). When I began researching I spoke to a local travel agent. I also did a lot of research on my own. I looked on tripadvisor.com, apple vacations.com, travelocity.com. These gave me an idea on prices, hotel ratings, and also reviews from travelers. Reading these helped narrow my selection to three resorts which I will choose from.

Thanks Vero, I have also had an extreme amount of help from Weddingdiva (couture travel). She has looked into alot of my inquiries for me.
We have narrowed down to Beaches Sand Bay in Negril Jamaica. Now that we have chosen a place to have it the fun begins.

i have been looking at st lucia (windjammer) and the mayan riviera (the reef playacar and akumal beach resort) but i'm just not finding what i'm looking for - where are you having your wedding? thanks!

We are having ours in Negril jamaica. At the Sandy Bay Beaches resort. Go to www.beaches.com (http://www.beaches.com). They have a bunch of info on there.
