So here I am in my dress after alterations. Thankfully, 2 of the 6 pairs of shoes I had work!
I was going to put white flowers in my hair since I'm not wearing a veil but I found an orange one just yesterday so I brought it in to see how it would look. I love the orange flower. I haven't figured out just how to wear my hair though.
So here are some pictures. Sorry I didn't have much of a smile on. The seamstress kept talking to me while my FMIL was trying to take the pictures. So what sort of jewelry would look good with this?
Can't wait to hear what everyone thinks!
The dress

Me in it!

very pretty! as for jewelery b/c ur dress isn't too "blingy" i would go w/something sparkly that falls just below the collar bone.. i think pearls would get lost... nothing too busy but not as simple as just a solitaire pendant.. i know that doesn't really help... or maybe it does but if i see anything that illustrates what i'm saying i'll post it LOL
kinda like this: http://www.weddingfactorydirect.com/hp7816neb7816.html
or if u want pearls: http://www.weddingfactorydirect.com/elvistpebrje.html
or if ur of simpler taste: http://www.weddingfactorydirect.com/dajesetne.html
tried to post just the pics but the site wouldn't let me...
lol that's the website i've been looking @ for examples for what i want... i have no experience buying thru them tho, they just have A LOT of tiaras n bridal jewelery

Gorgeous Dress. Love the splash of colour. :)
I noticed there's something shiny on the Sash itself. Could You maybe find something like that to wear. Or maybe something with Orange in.
I love the last necklace that Skippy linked to. You don't need anything too dingle-dangly. That would only take away from the Orange and the Pick-ups on the Skirt.
I wore a Black Choker with a Red Enamel Ankh to My Wedding. It filled the gap between head and top of Dress. And wasn't too Dressy to take away from anything else.
Mind You, i wore a Red Dress. So it was hard to take anything away from the colour lol.
Either way You look stunning. :)

Thanks so much everyone. I'm really excited - I was a little worried about the orange. (So was the seamstress, I guess)
I like the last necklace Skippy linked to also. I want to keep it simple I think. The shiny thing is a broach and actually I can move that and the "tails" to any point. She had it right on the side (for all the pictures w/the dress on me) but I moved it more toward the front and I like it that way.
So what you're saying Mitch is that I don't look like I'm wrapped in a duvet  Not sure if you remember, but I thought that comment (several months ago) was so funny!

Great dress! It looks awesome and the orange flower in the hair is perfect!
Since your dress has a bit of bling from the broach I agree something simple would probably be best.

You have a lovely dress. I make jewelry and sell it online and on craft shows. I have a piece that would look lovely with this dress. It is a FreshWater pearl necklace (pearls on one side) with an orange carnelian hanging in the middle. I am new to this forum so I can not post pictures but you can contact me via email or by sending me a msg on this forum. Thank you!

I am agree; it is nice and looks great on you :)
I would probably do something with crystals to bring out the little jewel thing on the sash.

If it is a Duvet. Then it's one of those posh feather ones only available in Harrods.
It obviously looks better on You than the model in the orignal photo. And the Orange Sash totally rocks it. :)

I love the fact that you changed the sash! I don't know why Maggie Sottero doesn't offer the sash in more colors!

I love orange as a general rule, and I think it looks gorgeous on your dress :D Perfect combination of dressy and happy!
You could wear whatever you want, in my opinion, because the dress is simple. I really like it :)
