I finally got my appointment set up for alterations (a big check off my list!), and now I have a question...

Where is a good place to find undergarments that work with a strapless dress? My dress pictures are in the recent thread about dress designers if you wanna see. I remember when my friend and I were looking for bras for our bridesmaid dresses 5 years ago, we had a very hard time. Even the Hanes underwear store had nothing good! I know they have strapless bras at places like Kohls, but how do you know what will work well?

I suggest going in to Kohl's and talking to person working there, explain what you are looking for and ask for any recommendations. I know they have a pretty large selection of things.

Since you are across the country from me, I am not sure of other stores in your area.

i just bought a bustier type of garment on jcpenney.com... i got it b/c i can return it to the store if it doesn't work... i don't have my fitting scheduled yet but i found some old gift cards that i wanted to get used up...

i was suprised at how little they carried online... really only like 3-4 bustier type options but they do hvae a lot of strapless bras if thats what ur looking for...

i was considering getting the bustier that deanna bought but went this way just b/c of the hassle of having to ship it back if it didn't work... if the JCP one doesn't work then i'm gonna try that one.

If you have a Victoria's Secret in the area, I would suggest going there. When I went there, the ladies were very helpful, and if they don't have what you're looking for, they can normally send you in the direction of a store that does.
