On our anniversary trip to the hill country, we stopped at this really neat import shop and I found a huge planter pot that I just had to have. I have been looking for something to fill with flowers in our front yard since the rest of the landscape is done in cactus and has only a little color. I can't believe how expensive pots are- most the size I needed were over $150!! When we saw this one at about half that price, we decided it needed to come home. Anyway- I put the cart before the horse though and filled it full of plants before we put in the rock bed - dumb move- that pot probably weighs over 500 lbs now! Anyway- here is the end result of our hard work this weekend putting in the new rock bed and adding 2 more small pots to the mix:

This is what the entire front of the house looks like now:

And a close up of the fountain my DH built himself - He bought a mold kit and cast all the pieces in colored concrete - it turned out great!

And finally, this is my version of a "Fiesta Ware" table - This started as an old white/rusted table that DH bought years ago for $50. We have been talking about getting a new patio set, but after pricing them and not finding one that we liked under $400- I decided to try my hand at spray painting them. I think it turned out pretty well and will get us through another summer just fine!

Next week we start on the backyard and building a gazebo!
