Welllll . . . .
*technically* Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3 are wedding movies, because getting married is a pretty big sub-plot in both of them . . . lol, so *I* would consider them 'wedding' movies, but then, I'm wierd like that. I'd consider the Lord of the Rings trilogy wedding movies too, because the major reason Aragorn does everything he does is so that he can be crowned and marry Arwen!!
LOL, I guess my definition kind of stretches the point :)
I also like Muriel's Wedding and (if you *really* want to get sentimental) Father of the Bride with Steve Martin. I think his version will speak to modern brides more than the original. And I love The Princess Bride, though to me the wedding is incidental to the 'true love' story -- and the book is better than the movie.
Oh, and believe it or not, Disney. 'Enchanted' is sentimental and pretty dang funny in spots, and at the end of it I felt all romantic and gooey, which is rare for me. And if you don't want romantic and gooey but you still want true love, try Mulan. It's animated, about early medieval China, based on a surviving fragment of poetry about a girl hero, and how she discovers her true self -- and manages to fall in love without giving her newfound self up. I really like it, even if it is 'just a cartoon'.
*laugh* I just realized that the one thing all my selections have in common is that they're not your typical love/wedding story, that they all involve a woman's journey to find he real self . . . and that love seems to happen along the way. :) In other words, that all these movies don't expect the woman to fall in love and give up everything, including who she is, for some guy -- just the opposite. Call me crazy, but I rather like those kinds of stories. The ones wherein the girl falls in love and therefore becomes her man's ideal tend to leave me cold.

What about Mamma Mia? It's all about preparing for a wedding and it's a lot of fun. I've not seen the movie version, but I have seen the stage version and LOVE it!

Best one ever... STAR WARS! When Han Solo married Princess Leia at the end... a tear was brought to my eye! Chewy was the best man... I was soo jealous because he brought his rifle to the wedding!:ura1:

Actually, i´m not keen to movies about weddings.
But I love a good laugh and humor.
If you look at the soap With Al Bundy and Peggy Bundy - it describes the scenario of a married couple, where we DONT want to go.
I just cant remember the title of the soap in english - something about marriage i guess.

Both Father of the Bride movies are classics. Every father can identify with the utter chaos and expense of hosting his daughter’s perfect wedding and although he cringes at the idea of paying for ice sculptures and swans he’ll do anything for his little girl.

I borrowed Father of the Bride from my future sister in law. I'm really excited to watch it. I've never seen it before.

I would have to recommend 'Father of the Bride' because it focuses on how weddings aren't just a strain on the bride and groom as far as planning and money goes, but the overall family too
that and it's got steve martin
STEVE MARTIN people XD
also some more movies:

the most recent series of doctor who features the doctor's assistant as a scottish bride-to-be who, along with her fiance, gets whisked away into the galaxy on a before-wedding holiday

I like the movie, The Wedding Singer by Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. The song he sang on the plane was really sweet and perfect for any wedding theme song. Super natural and meaningful.

This year seems to be a very popular year for wedding movies! Like WAY more than normal! I REALLY liked "Something Borrowed" but I must admit - I absolutely HATED Bridesmaids. FH LOVED it! In fact, he went and saw it with his sister, and then was like, "OMG! You've got to see this movie! It's hysterical! You'll LOVE it!!!" I watched it and was like . "You REALLY thought I'd like that?!
Let's talk about wedding movies. Anyone seen any other new ones this year?!
