Does anyone have a dress preservation service they would recommend? David's bridal has one but it's $189 (mandatory dry cleaning), but my dress has never been worn, ergo doesn't need dry cleaning. I have a coupon for David's but if some one knows of a good service that doesn't require dry cleaning I would prefer to not pay for it.

actually right now, davids is offering preservation for $99.....plus, it is not mandatory....don't let them tell you that.....

i walked out of DB's when i bought my gown 2 months ago and refused to let them touch it! i did it again today...both dresses i chose(the 1 i returned and 1 i exchanged it for) are both discontinued, and there were absolutely no more of them...god forbid, if something happened to it....

ok, i thought you meant pre wedding dry cleaning.....why wouldn't you want it cleaned? even though there's not obvious spots or stains, dust/sand can be horrible when it comes to preservation from what i understand...and you get that on you just by being outside.....

I actually bought my dress, it was an amazing deal. Then my ex-fiance and I broke off the engagement and aren't getting married. I still love the dress and would love to preserve it, so other than when it was tried on it has never been worn. There is no plans in the immediate future for it to be worn.

I'm sorry to hear this - I was wondering how things turned out. All the best to you!

Thanks...in the long run its probably a better choice. My new theme song is Independent Woman by Destiny's Child.

There you go. :) I think it's great you picked a theme song and are rolling with the punches. Everything happens for a reason - I firmly believe that.
